Very nice little cafe with a pleasant decor and friendly service. My toasted chicken and avacado pita was delicious and the generous $3 serve of chips with it were great.Unfortunately my wife wasn't as impressed with her smoked salmon eggs benedict. The eggs were almost cold and the sourdough bread was chewy and hard to cut. My cappuccino was excellent though. Great little cafe, shame about the wife's meal.Hi Darryl,We changed the bread recently and customers wanted it back. So local tastes are such.Sorry about the eggs, the best thing to do is tell the wait staff at the time of the visit. We can't fix it here online. Humans prepare the food so sometimes one is hot, then is not hot enough and cold isn't cold enough.. all day long.
Banjo's Bakery Café is a bakery café with a difference. We combine freshly baked breads, sweets, savouries, pies & pastries with quality espresso in a dine-in café environment. We really do have something for everyone!
we took the three grandchildren there on Easter Monday as we have used banjos throughout the state and find them good for a coffee and small treat of cake, Danish apricot or blueberry, hot pies and sausage rolls etc depending on the time of the day. They are also good for a quick lunch as they have a good range of pies etc. I would have to say this café is the cleanest and neatest of all the Banjos we have eaten at. The staff are pleasant, spotless and friendly to all customers that they serve. The small quiches and sausage rolls were excellent for children at morning tea (the over supply of Easter Eggs and other functions meant we had steered clear of buying more of them and there "Easter egg treat was the café" which they appreciated. Coffee, tea and availability of drinks for the children strawberry milk and apple juice was from well known brands and good.

Great Cafe in West Ulverstone with awesome coffee & delicious food!!
Having been there several times for coffee I had been wanting to try out there big breakfast. Menu had reasonable selections, I went for "The Works" which came with two well cooked eggs on some nice toast plus bacon, sausage, mushrooms and other bits and pieces. It was all well cooked and presented although some of the bacon was over cooked but overall enjoyed the breakfast and was well filled till past lunch time. Finished with coffee which was well made as usual. Cost was $22 for the meal which I thought was a little steep in this area but very enjoyable. We are glad you enjoyed your breakfast. We use local produce with our smoked bacon & sausages from King's Feast Butchery & free range eggs from Mt Roland Free Range Eggs.We like to support local as much as possible even though this may increase our costs.Coffee is also locally roasted from Gioconda Coffee Roasters. We hope to see you again. Enjoy your day.

On the Old Coast Hwy between Ulverstone and Penguin
Nice setting for a restaurant, service is good and food is okay, but been the same menu for a long time even though ownership changed, would be nice to see some new interesting choices.

A great cafe that provided enough variety to keep everyone happy. Between the pancakes, B&E Roll and the Eggs Benedict, everyone was happy. Service was good, views over the river perfect and coffee great. A great place to ponder, appreciate and recognise that there are moments in time when it doesn't get too much better than this.

Spontaneous decision to have lunch here. Easy access off the highway with heaps of car parking set in nice grounds. We got there just at the start of the lunch period which was lucky as it rapidly filled with people. Lovely welcome, and service was so helpful, and friendly. We immediately felt at home. A great varied menu and the food we ordered was fresh, abundant and tasty. Great drinks list and terrific coffee. To add to a lovely lunch they also have a small gift shop inclusive of pickled onions bottled on the premises. A lovely experience all round. Highly recommended.Thank you for visiting and taking the time to write your comprehensive and very complimentary review - our staff aim to provide guests a great experience and the chef's take great pride in providing freshly prepared meals to order - we will pass on to our staff your terrific review and recommendation. Thank you.

What it lacked in customer service it made up for in food!! Waited a ridiculously long time to be served as the waitresses were too busy talking and gossiping between themselves. Finally was served and from then on it was incredible, good atmosphere and amazing food. Didnât like the fact the toilet opened straight out into the cafe (I feel like this is against building code)
