As of March 2015, the city had an estimated population of 372,710 and a population density of 1,420 persons per km². The total area was 261.86 square kilometres (101.10 sq mi). By area, Toyohashi was Aichi Prefecture's second-largest city until March 31, 2005 when it was surpassed by the city of Toyota, which had merged with six peripheral municipalities.

I have heard of their famous Shironowa-ru (ã·ããã¯ã¼ã«ï¼and wanted to try it. On this trip to Japan, I finally managed to eat this and wow it was YUM! I treated myself this as my birthday cake. Warm danish and cold icecream. Nice combination! It comes with a pot of maple syrup but I liked without it. (It was too sweet with the syrup.) My partner tried a seasonal special - New York cheese cake shironowa-ru. He loved it. Coffee came with some peanuts, which we thought was a nice touch. Komeda Coffee is now our must stop whenever we visit Japan.
