The Blitz Tea Room and Jazz Lounge takes you back to during the Blitz in the 1940's.
Wonderful place, properly run with a great atmosphere. Couldn't fault it in anyway .The staff could not be more friendly. We all loved the old style teapots and the old fashioned way of making the tea. Just perfect
Called in for some breakfast whilst working in the town. The staff member didn't acknowledge me with a smile or greeting, this is very important for a business, the front of house staff need to appear welcoming and friendly. Tea cake (from freezer) stale and hard, they swapped it for some toast instead. Tables, chairs and floor littered with food crumbs. Good cup of tea though.Unfortunately I left with a bad impression.

Handily placed at Stanwick Lakes for a light meal to keep you going, this is a fairly typical park cafe with the benefit of pleasant views over the lake. The menu is pretty basic and unpretentious but the food is good and wholesome. Prices are reasonable and staff generally helpful.
Lovely café, good location, nice relaxed atmosphere. Delightful staff made us feel very welcome and the food was absolutely great. We had morning coffee and cakes and then went back for a late lunch, we enjoyed it so much!

Great location and great menu - hot and cold available. Tasty food. Excellent service . Only a few negative comments - chef needs to wear a hat and difficult to have a chat due to acoustics - coffee machine noisy. Staff tend to pounce on you to soon and grab plates away too swiftly. But would recommend it

Enjoy a Friendly atmosphere with our British Heroes of comedy themed restaurant and Bar in the Town of Raunds Northamptonshire . Traditional wholesome food
Our group of ladies met here for our monthly get together. This is a popular, clean and very friendly place, with a relaxed atmosphere. A good variety of dishes are on offer, but I opted for the large full english, including tea, and was far from disappointed. The food was piping hot and looked good on the plate. The breakfast comprised egg, 2 bacon, 2 sausages, 2 hash brown, mushrooms, toast and plum tomatoes. A tall order, but I almost cleared the plate.

First of all I want to Thank The Old Barn for making such a wonderful array of food for my Nans 90th Birthday. They were four generations ready to surprise her it was lovely to see everyone there, But the personal touches were missing on this trip, although it didn't affect the day, I did feel it wasn't as special as before. We had taken my nan here before for her Birthday and she loved it, they bought out her favourite cake as a Birthday cake, she had a lovely gift on her table of a wonderful bar of soap, which she used until she had the thinnest slither left in her shower tray, so The old Barn was the perfect place to bring her on such a milestone birthday when we arrived the table was set for too many people it was set for 17 but we had booked and it was confirmed when we popped over that it was a table for 12. We also told them that my nans favourite cake was a Victoria sponge for her Birthday cake There was a used napkin on the table, no present for my nan and the Birthday cake never materialised ,it didn't affect the occasion as there was so much excellent quality food it could have fed an army, but I wanted everything perfect for such a special lady,I didn't mention it as I wasn't going to ruin a wonderful day. For a table of 12 a complete mixture of ages from 2 to 90,the bill only came to a very reasonable price of £176,plus tip. Great day but just not perfect.

Local family friendly coffee shop/ restaurant that does food from cakes and snacks through to full breakfasts and main meals, lots of locally sourced home made products.,great range of sandwiches and toasties and daily specials
Called in as somewhere to stop en route to Norfolk coast without knowing anything about it. Delighted. Old haberdashery shop with original features now a cafe. Sat in the very nicely kept little patio garden at the back. Menu & Specials all seemed interesting & well priced. When our choices arrived we weren't disappointed- very good quality & generous portions of freshly cooked/prepared food. Lovely coffee. All so good that when returning from Norfolk we broke our journey here again for another excellent little meal, at very good price.
