Called in on spec and just managed to get the last table on a very busy Saturday . I would avoid the main 12-1.30 time if possible. We intended to have pizza as they are gorgeous but changed our mind & went for the daily special , which was aubergines ( not mouska) and a sauce and it was delicious & the garlic bread was yummy. There are tables for sitting out if you have a dog .

Licensed café and bistro. Vegetarian Food / Homemade Cake/ Artisan Coffee / Loose-Leaf Tea / Local Ales
Called in today for a brew and a bite to eat. Although not busy on arrival we were told there were reservations booked so they could offer a table but only til 1pm. No problem. the cafe is small but very comfortable. We were seated and staff friendly ( think this was the owner). We ordered from the breakfast menu. I ordered sourdough toast (£1.75) with honey (25p). I was a bit shocked to be served with one average slice of what seemed to be ciabatta. I had expected 2 slices as that is what a breakfast portion would normally be. Disappointed . My friend had a veggie sausage sandwich. No garnish. The coffee was strong and delicious âï¸This is not to say I wouldnât go back to try a lunch ( I would book first). The cafe is hidden away from the main road and parking is available nearby. Hello and thankyou for your feedback. I (the business owner) am currently off on maternity leave but I'm pleased that our staff were friendly. You certainly should have had two slices of toast and I will remind staff of this for future. I am sure it will have been sourdough from local bakery "The Bakehouse" though as ciabatta is not something we keep in the cafe. With regards the sausage sandwich, if you order from the breakfast menu it does not come with a garnish as we found that at breakfast time customers were not eating the side salad/coleslaw and they were going to waste. However the same sandwich does also appear on the lunch menu with these accompaniments. To avoid confusion I will ask my colleagues to check in future whether customers want the 'lunch' or 'breakfast' version of the sandwich.I hope you will visit the cafe again in future. We look forward to welcoming you back.

I had the £5.50 standard breakfast as photographed which comes with 2 slices of toast, brown or white, and a small mug of tea. Prompt and friendly service.Interesting location with plenty of free parking. There are a few attention to detail things that could be done to gain 5 stars.

Opened July 2018, Pride & Provenance is a independent family owned cafe wine bar. Situated within period surroundings just outside the South Gate of The Piece Hall in Halifax. Why Pride & Provenance? Simple, we take the upmost pride in everything we do wh
Called in to this little place before an event at the piece hall. My friend and I ordered three vegetarian items to share and had more than enough. The place is quirky, the food is attractively served and we enjoyed it. Looking forward to the next time Thank you so much for calling in to see us. We really appreciate such a great review and so glad you enjoyed the food and hope to see you again soon!

A lovely day out. Itâs on a main road but when you are in the tea room everything changes and you forget where you are, would definitely recommend! The woman who owns is lovely and very friendly. There is also a car park next to it so itâs easily accessible. Also the chocolate cake is amazing.

Vintage inspired tea room in the heart of a small village. Serving freshly prepared breakfast, brunch, lunch and afternoon tea. Large selection of homemade cakes daily. Available for private function hire every Sunday. Children's menu available.
Met a friend here for a catchup over brunch on a Saturday. We hadn't booked and were lucky to get a table as it is a busy place. Loads of choice on the menu and if you fancy something not on the menu then you just ask, so can accommodate most tastes/diets. Coffee or tea comes with a Minstrel, which was a nice touch. I had scrambled eggs and got plenty of it. My friend had stilton on crumpets with sweet chilli jam, which was a delightful explosion of flavours. Service was prompt and friendly and I'd definitely go back, but may need to book next time!Thank you for taking the time to leave us a lovely review. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed your breakfast and hope to see you again soon.
