Americano was bland, weak and watery - the worst coffee I have had in Sidmouth and elsewhere. Problem needs to be resolved by the management by checking coffee making equipment and water filtering processes are appropriate and working correctly, sourcing good quality coffee and training staff how to consistently make a quality cup of coffee every time.Dear Robert,We are so sorry to hear you weren't happy with the coffee, please always let our staff know at the time so we can immediately address it. We use local coffee suppliers Hawkins, who use only the best hand roasted Arabica beans, and all our staff are fully trained. If you are in the area again please pop in and our baristas will make it to your exact preference.Best wishes,The Clock Tower team.

Typical beach front cafe, seems to be run by what are no more than children. Waitresses were wearing skirts that were barely decent. One had a ladder in her tights and another one had ''I love Alex '' written on her hand in biro, how very professional.! We overheard one waitress say that her customer had asked her if the coffee was decaff' and her colleague replied yes. ''good'' she said 'cause I have told them it is, anyway. Another waitress let a customers dog lick her hand and she carried on serving without washing her hands. The tables are sticky, the cafe needs to be decorated, the music is awful. The whole place just seems third rate, which is a shame because the food was not too bad. I suggest they smarten up and get some professional adult staff.

This good find was well worth the walk up the high street. Out the back there is a lovely âcourtyardâ where we chose to sit. The choices on the menu have lots of options in addition to the specials board. The fish and chips was excellently made, and the service was impeccable! Definitely worth a visit!Thank you Lisa for your review and for making it that little bit further up the high street to come and find us. Iâm glad you enjoyed your fish and chips.

Visited here for a late lunch and we were very happy with everything. The service was excellent from the friendly ladies and the food was hot and tasty, as was the coffee. The toilets were extremely clean and we would have no hesitation in recommending this place to anyone. The gorgeous young man who cleared the table was an added bonus !

We were not staying on site but found the cafe on Trip Advisor. Had a breakfast and coffee here. Both excellent and good value for money. Staff were very friendly and there is a small shop on site with some local produce available. All very reasonable. Will definitely be back for more before we go home. Thank you for taking the time to give the café a reviewThat's so lovely that you came across Oakmead café on Trip Advisor. Restaurant and Coffee, Breakfast, Lunches, Devon Cream Teas , Homemade Cakes . We serve a range of wines and beers and enjoy uninterrupted sea views .
Busy little seafront cafe with a reasonable menu. Huge scones on display looked tempting for cream tea, as did the selection of cakes. We chose panini and chips for our lunch, which were ok - average for seaside cafe territory. Service was efficient bearing in mind how busy it was - our table was close to the till and there was a constant stream of people placing orders the whole time we were there. Tables seemed to be cleared quickly so that they can accommodate the demand and the staff seem to cope pretty well.

The Award Winning Fields of Sidmouth Coffee Shop is located in the only department store in the town. It offers morning coffee, light lunches, special menus, afternoon and cream teas with a full waiting service. Food is prepared from locally sourced fresh
Having last visited in 2018 when all the changes were "bedding in" we thought we would give it another try.At 12.35pm on a Friday there were very few customers so we had a vast choice of table.Three staff were visible but no one approached us for our order so after 10-15 minutes my wife set off to the counter and waylaid a waiter who immediatly apologised for the delay. No visible sign of any management. On the plus side we cannot fault the food which was excellent.

Coffee House providing simple breakfast and lunch menu - a wide range of homemade, bakery and patisserie cakes .. gluten free/wheat free/dairy free/sugar free and vegetarian/vegan options .. serving skimmed/semi-skimmed, rice and soya milk, and decaf tea
A Homity pie and salad is a favoutite of mine here, (last 3 years) & nice coffee. A disappointment was the lack of crab on Friday late afternoon, but the prawn sandwich sufficed, though the prawns were only just thawed out!I'm glad you enjoyed the Homity Pie. No one is more disappointed than us when the Crab runs out, it is very popular and it can be a struggle to get just the right amount to meet demand.

Pleasant atmosphere, It's worth climbing the steps which inhibit many elderly customers. A pleasant High Street building. Long ago it was part of a cinema!Very popular with busy people as well as strollers who get attracted by the outdoor tables.Thank you for your review and we're glad you enjoyed your visit. We do have sloped access at the front of the shop that starts by the shop next door, so we are accessible for the elderly who may struggle with steps, wheelchairs & mobility scooters. We hope you will visit again next time you are in Sidmouth : )
