We hadnât been to Rose Buds for a while and having been, canât think why! While our grandson slept we popped in for refreshments and a yummy bacon sandwich. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and attentive. Complete with rain predictions! The place was very clean, the food first rate and the prices reasonable. Well worth a visit, we certainly wonât leave it as long next time.

We spent the day around the museum and garden so had lunch here, it was really warm and we sat outside watching the little planes land on the grass airstrip. A lovely relaxing break.Food was reasonably priced, good quality and quick service despite being freshly cooked to order. a limited typical cafe menu with dish of the day, sandwiches, baked potatoes and fish and chips which we had. Good portions served. There is ample room inside and a reasonably sized terrac outside. The place was clean and tidy and staff extremely pleasant. You can call in here without paying to visit the attractions, there is ample parking, if the first carpark is full drive up by the hangar for more spaces.Despite being midweek outside school holidays it was busy, see the website there are specials for groups and bikers.Obviously on airshow days this changes.

Came here yesterday. The decor is okay but the seating is very cramped. I had the lasagne which tasted fine, a tiny bit lukewarm. The prices were fine

Decided to try this cafe and support a local business. Initially we had a warm welcome but the owner became very sarcastic when asked more than one question. Despite there being as many staff as customers we had to wait ages for our three coffees and three sausage and egg rolls. I found the rolls to be a bit pricey but consoled myself by thinking the sausages seemed of decent quality and them being cooked fresh. We decided not to stay for a slice of cake as there was a very limited choice and a couple of the cakes on display were apparently made to order and reserved. Wonât rush back and prefer to go to Langford garden centre cafe.
Visited Friday 7th for lunch with Mum. Gorgeous pot of tea with real cups and saucers - just like we used to have with Nan and Grandad! I asked if I could change a dish as didnât want bread so had poached eggs with smashed avocado and beans, delicious! Staff were busy as it was packed but were very friendly and happy.

My first lunch out with my 9 month old granddaughter and the Potting Shed certainly fitted the bill. A lovely friendly welcome and plenty of parking space for the buggy in the annexe. Then we moved into the cafe and the food and service were first class. Every dish/ sandwich is made to order and is very fresh. Nice cuppa as well.Had a nice walk to look at the chickens and rhea family. Our little one loved it. Also some nice plants to buy if you so desire.Iâll certainly be in again. Thank you. The tea room used to be the Southill Post Office until it was closed down a few years ago. It is a jewel. We pride ourselves on home baked cakes and scones and hope that you enjoy them just as much as we do.
We had excellent friendly service in a great setting. The prices are cheaper than the coffee chains like Starbucks and Costa and the setting infinitely more enjoyable. The people who moan about the prices need to go to the big boys and get a reality check. The only gripes were the cafetière didnât filter out the coffee grounds very well and my coffee cake was lacking any taste of coffee. This can be easily corrected. All three of our cakes were nicely baked though and nice and moist. We will continue to visit regularly.

A lovely breakfast with friends before attending the Central Bedfordshire Council Election Count at Chicksands. Food was great and the service fabulous. A really nice start to what turned out to be a fantastic day. Thank you for opening early and setting us up for the day!
