Things to do in Sheerness
Recommended to go for breakfast. Not to eye appealing from the out side but once inside friendly, warm and very busy. The breakfast was really good if I had one criticism it would be the quality of the sausages. We would have liked another cup of coffee but could not get to the counter as they were queuing people. Will return
Situated just off the main pedestrian street, this is an independent cafe. It was very friendly, quick service and sold mugs of tea for 70p and a big breakfast, fried up in front of you for £3.25. This is clearly where the locals go and that is a good pointer.
Natural open space, can hire a canoe, children 's sand pit play area.with climbing frames a n swing for older children. and an opportunity to go crabbing. the cafe is very reasonable. no chips though. but Sunday lunch sandwiches etc . also has lots going on though out the year . The PIrates are visiting 6th of August. brilliant day out .may need water pistol or water bombs , to stop the pirates getting ashore. prepare to get wet .

Mint & Choc Eatery offers fresh, wholesome, healthy food with a continental twist, from sandwiches, wraps and soups, to stews, pies and omelettes, including freshly ground coffees, smoothies and finger licking desserts
First ever visit to Mint and Chocolate Eatery and will definitely not be the last. Food delicious, perfectly prepared, cooked and presented. I saved enough room for the mint and Chocolate cheesecake and am so glad I did. It was truly scrumptious. Ida couldn't do enough for us and it was a joy to eat there. Definitely recommend.thank you ever so much Brenda, so glad you enjoyed it :) hope to see you again soon :)
Stopped off here for a late lunch on a rainy Saturday and was not disappointed. The owners are very pleasant and the service is excellent. There s a good selection of food on the menu, a lot of homemade choices too. Itâs reasonably priced and good value...definitely eat there again. Mama Babciaâs Apple pie is wonderful, and with the custard, great comfort food!Definitely a great addition to the Sheerness eating scene!

We visited Rioâs café in Sheerness on a sunny Sunday lunchtime in May. We had just walked along the coast from Minster and was looking for somewhere to eat before returning back the same way.Rioâs café is located in the High Street not far from the railway station. We were attracted to it because it was advertising a roast diner for £6 and the outside looked to be quite inviting. Inside the café is not large but there are a good number of tables and the interior is quite light and airy mostly due to the yellow painted / mirrored walls. There is a large flat screen television on the wall and this was showing music videos at the time of our visit. For a small café, the menu is surprisingly varied and in addition there was a âspecials boardâ offering additional dishes. Although not too busy when we arrived, the café did start to get busy whilst we were here.Seating is predominantly fixed and I found that the distance between adjacent tables did not allow a wide enough gap to hang my coat on the seat back. Fortunately we had a table for four so had a spare seat to use for bags and coats. We did notice that there were some seating available with more flexible arrangement where the seat could be adjusted. We chose a table and the waitress took our order for food and drink (we both had a roast dinner) and our food came without any undue delay or fuss. The food was served hot and the portion size was very good, the table had a salt and pepper pot on it but we were offered other condiments as well (i.e. mint sauce, mustard etc.). We both agreed that the serving staff here were very good being attentive and helpful throughout There is a single toilet provided for customers to use towards the rear of the café and we found this to be clean and functional. One item to note for the potential customer is that the café does not appear to accept credit cards and maintains a âcash onlyâ policy.Overall a good honest High Street café with a diverse menu and competitive prices. For our visit, both of the waitresses were excellent and we would definitely consider a return visit if we were in the area.

A splendid authentic vintage tea room right by the seaside in the heart of sheerness on tea serving quality cream teas.
Brilliant variety of teas. Lovely freshly baked cakes, especially brilliant scones. Seriously, I thought I'd tried the best but these were just amazing! Wonderful attentive service. We ordered a pot of tea for 2. Served in a beautiful China pot with lovely China tea cups. Extra hot water was added to the pot at no extra charge. We sat very happily having cake and loads of tea for over 1 hour, enjoying the 1950s music and relaxed atmosphere. Was a real treat and lovely way to spend a rainy afternoon. All brilliant! Highly recommended. Thank you. XWhat a lovely review thank you very much x

A good friendly welcome on cold day. Good size mug of coffee with 2 excellent poached eggs on freshly cut toasted bread. Good size at a reasonably price. I would recommend and go there again.Just one small comment, please take care where you hold the mugs.
