Things to do in Scottsboro
Stopped in after visiting local shops. Nice little coffee shop with nice soft furniture. Got black coffee, which was very good. My mother got the vanilla latte which she though was very good. Service a little slow that day, but only one person working so we were not upset. Would go back if lived in area, as it is a locally owned coffee shop.
Where to eat Bar food in Scottsboro: The Best Restaurants and Bars
This place has been in business here in Scottsboro for a few months. I had heard so many bad comments on this place, I had never eaten there. However a friend wanted to go there for lunch today. He ordered a steak salad and I had something called a Mona Lisa. Chicken, peppers, sausages , I think, and cheese so since I have to adhere to a strict diet, I thought this sounded like something I could it. It was supposed to be served with fettuccine but I requested that be left off. I ordered a side salad with it. Not much in the salad. Just typical side salad. But when my entree got there, I couldnât believe it. First of all, it looked awful. Everything all mixed together in some kind of gravy, which I can not eat. Even so, I tasted it and I did not like it at all. I thought maybe I can at least dig out the chicken . Terrible. I had a bite of the chicken. Tough and reminded me of chicken that was processed to look like chicken. I told the server, who was new, that I could not eat that dish. She brought our bill and the charge for a meal I could not eat was on there. I asked her why I was being charged for a meal I could not eat and she said she told the owner and he said I still had to pay. By the way, I didnât eat that side salad either. At least I know the lettuce was washed. How do I know? BECAUSE IT WAS WET. We went to pay and the manager, who was also the cashier, asked if everything was ok and I told her no, it was terrible and after going back and forth, this person informed me the MONA LISA was A stir fry. We told her it was not because it was supposed to be served over fettuccine. Then she said it was a greek dish. Really? You name a greek dish MONA LISA???? I would think that would be French. But I donât like greek food and was never told it was greek. Anyway my first and last ordeal with this place. I certainly would not force a customer to pay for something they could not eat. In the PR world, for every dissatisfied customer you have, will cost you 50. I went home and fixed myself some lunch I could eat. I predict this place wonât be in Scottsboro for very long.
