We were lucky to attend an event at this beautiful local farm, winery and restaurant during our recent visit to Las Palmas. The farm is located in a beautiful valley and has abundant produce including multiple varieties of wine grapes. They have a small restaurant that features the wine and produce grown on site. The staff was very friendly and the setting gorgeous.Highly recommended if you are in the area.
We popped in for lunch on a Tuesday in April and the place was deserted. The children had good fried chicken with chips and scrambled eggs with ham and mushrooms, we both had paella which was good, although the seafood was a little sparse. The food and service were both good. Lunch with drinks for four was â¬43.There is a separate bar which also offers a range of tapas.

This is a fantastic little bar and boutique selling local handcrafts, produce and wines. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and speak a number of languages (Which helped as our Spanish is very basic ) A selection of 3 beers, and plenty of wines and spirits. There is seating outside where you can watch the sun setting over the port enjoying a glass or two with a dish of local olives. There is also some seating at the bar inside.
Spain Food Guide: 10 Mediterranean food Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in Sardina
Walking down Calle Capitan Quesada (pedestrian street) in Galdar, I was curious to go inside this little restaurant/cafe/bar( what ever it is) and take a look at what they had to offer. I must say that I was immediately interested in tasting what they had to offer. Wow! Amazing...Delicious...must taste, must have ....The presentation of the "motaditos" got my mouth watering. It is true that we eat as much with our eyes as with our taste buds and mouth. In my poor Spanish I asked what the beautiful "montaditos" were made of and this very nice woman proceeded to point and tell me what they were. At the end I chose a montadito one with a slice of Spanish tortilla with fried onions, one with chevre ost with caramelized onions and one with small fried cod fish balls. Oh how I wished that I had more space in my stomach to try all of the others as well. If you ever come to Galdar, which I hope you will, since Galdar is the Royal Town of Gran Canaria with a fantastic old and historic town which is definitely worth a visit. Do not just walk by this place without stopping to eat a montadito. I promise that you will not be disappointed . Meanwhile I will continue to explore this old city with gusto.
