Great bar for coffee and cold beer. The exterior is in a small shopping complex down a couple of steps.

We arrived there coming from Santa Maria de Leuca by bike through small roads, and hungry. We were very well received, though past lunch hour, and we had very tasty pannini , right on the place in front of the old Church. The owner told us nice stories about his village. A very good memory of our trip in Puglia.

Bar Fonte Dei Messapi

The only bar in the area where we could get am Italian "Happy hour": one drink and a huge tray of nice nibbles/snack for 5 euros. We got there later than the happy hour time (6.00 to 8.00) and the owner, very nice, offered us the same. We were spoiled by location, a very nice square by the old Castle and with a beautiful view over the sea, warm welcome, honesty and food. They also make ice cream and they are delicious. Not to be missed if you are in the area also because the village is really an hidden gem.
