Wonderful breakfast. Eat in the garden out back if you can. Plenty of shade on sunny mornings and heaters if itâs cool. We were quickly seated even though it was Sunday. The menu has plenty of traditional breakfast items and some more creative things for the adventurous. The service was efficient and friendly. The garden is pleasant and relaxed. The food was good. Canât go wrong here.

The name does not indicate "Mexican cuisine," but the owners are Mexican American and serve authentic Mexican foods. When we were in Cambria a year ago, we finally tried Cambria Cafe. Would probably have tried it sooner had we realized we could get authentic Mexican food here. Anyhow, I had THE BEST Chili Relleno I'd ever had!Today we went for breakfast because I wanted authentic Huevos Rancheros. They were excellent! My husband ordered the scrambled eggs with ground chorizo mixed in. It came with rice, beans and tortillas. The flavor was excellent without being too spicy, and the chorizo was not at all greasy.Photos of Cambria 100 years ago adorn the walls. This is not a fancy place, but it is definitely a good place. Highly recommend it for simple casual meals and also for Mexican food.

Loved this cafe tucked away off Main Street right near an antique store filled with great finds. A throwback to when a diner served good, basic food with friendly service. Thereâs even a counter with bar stools! The welcome was warm and genuine, the coffee was good and hot, and the breakfast was great. Eggs, bacon, sourdough toast. And options for those who want lighter fare. Outdoor seating is available on the patio. But if you donât care for lots of dogs, sit inside.

Driving south down the PCH from Monterey and needed somewhere to eat, drink and take a break. Called at Cambria as this seemed the first decent sized place weâd come across. We saw this cafe, which looked popular with a number of regular locals both in and outside. The lady wh served us was pleasant enough. I did ask for a burger to be served with no cheese, as per the menu listing. She said, no it comes as it says on the menu! I did think we she was joking, but clearly havenât quite mastered the American sense of humour. It arrived with cheese. Food was poor quality, burnt brioche bun, and chicken sandwich so heavily laden in pesto. We had coffee, espresso was sound but the mocha was undrinkable.I struggle in a country where most people bend over backwards to serve you, you cannot just leave cheese of a burger.
