Reviews on Cafe food in San Pedro Cholula, Puebla, Mexico. San Pedro Cholula is a municipality in the Mexican state of Puebla and one of two municipalities which made up the city of Cholula. The city has been divided into two sections since the pre Hispanic era, when revolting Toltec-Chichimecas pushed the formerly dominant Olmec-Xicallanca to the eastern side of the city in the 13th century. The new lords called themselves Cholutecas and built a new temple to Quetzalcoatl on the San Pedro side, which eventually eclipsed the formerly prominent Great Pyramid of Cholula, now on the San Andrés side. When the Spanish arrived in the 16th century, the city of Cholula was an important religious and economic center, but the center of power was on the San Pedro side, centered on what is now the main city plaza and the San Gabriel monastery. The division of the city persisted and San Pedro remained the more dominant, with Spanish families moving onto that side and the rest of the population quickly becoming mestizo. Today, San Pedro is still more commercial and less residential than neighboring San Andrés with most of its population employed in industry, commerce and services rather than agriculture. Although Cholula's main tourist attraction, the Pyramid, is in San Andrés, San Pedro has more tourism infrastructure such as hotels, restaurants and bars.

This food truck by the pyramid is fantastic. Great food with great prices. Very clean. Beautiful place to sit and eat while enjoying the view of the pyramid and all of the the stands selling souvenirs . English spoken. OPEN: Monday to Sunday, 9am to 7pm.Beer and wine is available from the food trucks beside this one.

Get a terraza table! Brilliant view of the worldâs largest pyramid in the middle of the oldest city in North America. And then, eat! Wonderful, creative Mexican -fusion food. No wine (yet...Iâll work on it), but beer and mezcal. Everything on the menu that I tried was very tasty indeed. I suspect the menu changes from time to time, but try the raviolis stuffed with huitlacoche. Everything fresh, and a good selection for vegetarians. And, I might add, excellent, professional service. Perfect meal for post-pyramid viewing!

Es uno de los lugares más famosos de los portales, me han recomendado sus pizzas muchas veces, pero simplemente no me puedo explicar el motivo, realmente son malitas. La pizza que pedimos llegó frÃa y sin sabor. Los cócteles cuestan 75 pesos y no tienen alcohol. Lo único bueno fue el servicio, fue amable y atento. Es una verdadera pena que estando en los portales pase esta clase de cosas. Creo que la calidad de los restaurantes bajó de manera abismal. Si quieren ir al baño encontrarán un lugar limpio. Ah, también tienen música en vivo, la banda se esfuerza bastante, una pena que la comida y los precios no ayuden

Had their version of a veggie burger and what they made really was a work of art. Veggies, cheese, stacked between a very tasty veggie based bun was delicious. With beet chips and a mango juice/shake, the meal was a nice break from the typical meat/bean/corn basic Mexican meal. I will definitely return for their other menu options. A bit pricey compared to a cemita or torta but worth the price.

I've been there few times with a friend. The service could be slow, but it's worth the wait, specially if you get their "tortas", very well served and you can add a salad to it and it becomes even better. The decor is super cute and you feel like you're eating at a friends house.

I went to this little frenca bistro last May with my family and I had a very good time. The food was delicious, the service nice and warm and the atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing. We were looking for a place to have breakfast and by chance passed by this place. There was a Bakery on the outside (belonging to the Restaurant) that called our attention. We entered and the environment looked nice. We decided to sit for breakfast. There were about 4 groups before us waiting to be seated and the hostess informed us that it would take a while until our turn. We waited, bought some bread (Excellent!!). The Menu is not too big, only some dishes. We asked for a Sandwich Mostovoi and eggs with potatoes, coffe, chocolate and orange juice to drink. The taste was great!!, the portion was good and the service, starting by the hostess reallygood.

Be prepared to be entertained by the servers, chef, and staff. The service inside has limited seating, so reservations are encouraged. We lucked out on a Sunday night when most restaurants close or close early. The table next to ours (locals) were served an exotic drink prepared at the table with flame and flare. Don't miss the opportunity to sample this local treasure.
