We visited for an evening meal following the change from mainly daytime to mainly evening service. The place has been totally transformed with new deco, tables etc and is very impressive. The pizzas were extremely good, the sweet potato fries excellent and the Italian ice cream exceptional. Weâll definitely become regular evening visitors.

Ha'Penny Gift and Vintage Tea Room is a family owned gift shop, supporting only local North East based crafters, stocking only good quality & unique hand made crafted gifts. We serve the best quality coffee, tea and home made cakes.
Dropped in for a coffee and scone when passing through Skelton.Coffee quite good but didn't have cappuccino as only full fat milk available, not even semi-skimmed.Scone looked nice enough but was just ok. Presentation was nice; cloth on table, pretty crockery etc.Would have liked to look round at all the things on display, presumably for sale, but sadly the owner never stopped talking. Of course it is nice to be greeted in a friendly manner but we were given no chance to have our own conversation nor any privacy.I'm sure if there had been other people in it would have been a better experience so we hope to give it another try.

Absolutely no issues with staying at the stars above flat. It was very clean, it had quality fitments and lovely views from the skylights. The owner greeted us with scones and jam which was a nice touch. Hinderwell is about 9 miles from Whitby and other coastal villages so is an ideal place to stay. There are two pubs in the village but one is closed on Monday and Tuesday and the other is a bit grotty. The head room in the flat is low in places and I hit my head a few times, so if youâre tall, beware. That said we loved staying here and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

On our recent visit to the area, we made a detour to Runswick Bay around lunchtime. It was a beautifully warm September day and we found a table on the side of the cafe, which was a veritable sun trap. We went in to chose our lunch and saw immediately that they did crab sandwiches - no contest, that was the choice for both of us, one on white, one on brown. Absolutely excellent, plenty of crabmeat in both and a great cup of coffee for me. So we sat in our sun trap, with the wide sweeping Runswick Bay in from of us - what more could you want?

Well first Vegan food I have ever had and I can honestly say it was beautiful. The place is really friendly and quirkeyReally laid back vibe.Had tomato and chilli soup with chunky bread The soup was filling with a real kick. A great start. We then had the Double Cheese and Chilli Flatbread which was an real portion but again a great dish. We all had a mix of teas and coffees and soft drinks and water. But the real surprise which was the best cake I have ever had was a chocolate and courgette cake. So light and delicious. The staff are so friendly and will accommodate any vegan options you have and will accommodate allergens. So if your in the area seek this little gem out

First time in Saltburn and was really impressed with the beach and choice of places to eat. We went here 'cos it looked nice and there was a lot of tables taken. Service was prompt and friendly and the food was excellent and good value. Would like to go on an evening as it clearly transforms from cafe to bar and had a good selection of beers and gin.

Purveyors of fine foods and a wide range of local, regional, national and international specialities,in the heart of the beautiful Victorian seaside town of Saltburn, at great prices served by friendly staff.
This place looked very appealing from the outside. The staff were friendly... It's just a shame about the food! First my friend ordered cream with her coffee and I watched as the waitress made it with powder. It came with lumps! We ordered salad and it came with no accompaniments just a mound of greenery with three small rolls of meat on the top. There was a small amount of dressing but not enough to dress the bag of salad dropped on each plate! The meat was dry and the whole thing was just not worth the £9 they charged for it! We won't be going back!

POST CODE - TS12 1AH. I don't think they have a website.
Visited with friends, not overally loud, so conversation easier. Service was good. No beer on draught only bottled. Black pudding starter was a let down ridiculously small and not well cooked. Steak with Salmon and prawns. Very nice steak was cooked well, sauce was superb, however salmon was non existent and overall it was over priced. They only open 2 night's per week, so it's as if they are trying to make up for this with their high prices.
