3. Akatsuki Library Cafe

The owner has created a soulful quiet little place to spend a half an hour or half a day. We enjoyed delicious coffee at this beautiful old house. It's also a real lending library, with old-fashioned check-out card envelopes in each book. The books are all in Japanese but even if you can't read Japanese there are lots of beautiful illustrated books. We just loved it!
