Stopped in for a quick, late lunch. Had the Zack-Zack panini and a coffee. Both hit the spot well. Excellent service from the owner.Keep an eye out for the art work in the street outside the café. I had long been looking for a café close to home where you would feel comfortable and wasnât stuffy. The Handmade ticks these boxes and must fulfil a need as it is, at least on mornings, filled with happy guests.They offer an interesting selection of brunch variations as well as light lunches, in addition to a tempting array of pastries and other baked goods. Their bread menu reads like a wine list, and they specialize in bread made with flour milled locally. My waitress made an especially good impression with her cheery good mood and concern for all her guests. Finally a pleasant place nearby to while away an hour or so!
