We will be closed from Christmas Day (25th December) until the 5th of January 2018. Merry Christmas, have a wonderful year.
On previous visits to Queanbeyan I've not been able to get into The Mill House Cafe as it's either been crowded or poor weather and with most seating outside, I wasn't going there! It's always very popular & crowded. It seems a little disorganised; I ordered at 11:58am but there were only breakfast menus available and they were hidden away in a corner behind the line up waiting to play e orders: maybe you have to wait till exactly 12 noon for lunch menus? Staff were running around very busily. I ordered eggs Benedict but was told that their Hollandaise sauce wasn't gluten free; disappointing when they advertise gluten free options and many places now have gluten free Hollandaise due to high demand: I eat gluten free by necessity, not by choice. Eggs Benedict was beautiful with freshly carved ham, wilted spinach & perfectly cooked (soft) eggs: delicious, however not enough to compensate for the deficiencies in my book; disappointing :(

We arrived just in time to get a small table for two. The choice of meals is wide. Our food consisted of the Bacon Rosti (Eggs Benedict on a Rosti) excellent flavour and quantity. My wife had the Zucchini Balls which were light and fluffy and had a very pleasant flavour. We will certainly return.
Where to eat Pub food in Queanbeyan: The Best Restaurants and Bars
I've been here 3 times - twice for refreshments in the middle of a long walk and once for lunch. The menu has has lots to choose from with a good range of gluten free food available. There's a fun kid's menu - check out the tiger toast. Table service for eat in, order and pay at the counter for take away. Friendly staff. This Cafe seems popular with local residents, weekends seem particularly busy. There's water bowls outside for dogs who visit with their owners. Highly recommend a visit

It was such a disappointing lunch that our group will dine elsewhere after 10 years patronage. We placed our orders and then were asked to repeat the orders ten minutes later. The cook even came out from the kitchen to ask questions about our orders. Two of us ordered the vegetable soup to then be told it was unavailable -this was at 12 noon. The alternative was a watery pumpkin soup. To add insult to injury the coffee was hardly warm. When we mentioned this to the ?owner we were told the barista was still in training. However there was no supervision as management unpacked goods to put on display, The management team haven't been there for too long but really need to lift there game.

We had a small family gathering table of 6 to celebrate birthdays. Meals ordered were steak, chips and salad and grilled fish chips and salad all cooked to perfection and decent sized servings, followed by desert and coffees which were all lovely my particular favourites were the cream brûlée and the waffles. Coffee was really good.Staff and management went out of their way to accommodate anything we needed. Will definitely return here next time in Queanbeyan.
