Reviews on Cafe food in Pushkar, Rajasthan, India. Pushkar (Hindi: पुष्कर) is a town in the Ajmer district in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It is situated about 10 km (6.2 mi) northwest of Ajmer and about 150 kilometres (93 mi) southwest of Jaipur. It is a pilgrimage site for Hindus and Sikhs. Pushkar has many temples. Most of the temples and ghats in Pushkar are from the 18th century and later, because many temples were destroyed during Muslim conquests in the area. Subsequently, the destroyed temples were rebuilt. The most famous among Pushkar temples is the red spired Brahma Temple built during the 14th century CE. . It is considered a sacred city by the Hindus particularly in Shaktism, and meat and eggs consumption are forbidden in the city. Pushkar is located on the shore of Pushkar Lake, which has many ghats where pilgrims bathe. Pushkar is also significant for its Gurdwaras for Guru Nanak and Guru Gobind Singh. One of the bathing ghats is called Gobind ghat built by the Marathas in the memory of Guru Gobind Singh.

From what I understand, Surej, the owner of the hotel and restaurant, is a wonderful, kind man who makes amazing food and is a good host. But that is not what you'll find right now at Mooche's/Budha Cafe. You will find average staff that are pleasant enough but don't treat you anything above average. You will find good food, but not with the love the owner has, and perhaps his food is better, I don't know. We stayed a week in a room upstairs. The room was cheap and big, but bathroom detestable. Smelled terrible all the time, the door was off the bottom hinge in the bathroom, flies were everywhere in the room, perhaps from the open windows. You cannot really shower in that bathroom. Also the road noise was pretty bad even though it's on a back street. I liked the size of the room, the price, and the windows, it wasn't a cave, but we left because of mediocre service from the staff (they kept turning off the wifi power and then the wifi quit working altogether,) the flies, and the road noise. It does not serve business well to keep changing the name of your restaurant, or rent it out and change the name. Or have this new restaurant manager also manage the rooms. We came here based on these TA reviews and asked about a room because of the amazing reviews. Until management changes back to the original owners, don't heed the past reviews.

this kind of small cafe that probably have looked the same for since 60s, is where we travellers delight to hang out in India- impossibly small and simple with wooden benches. excellent coffee. please never change!
I am so glad to have tried this restaurant. My Pushkar (holy city) trip would have incomplete without this meat. Sitting by the holy lake in a beautiful setting and eating delicious Indian food was topping my list of things to do in Pushkar . And this restaurant totally delivered. We love everything we ordered. We took a bunch of pictures by the lakeside. And we left extremely satisfied. Special thanks to mr. Ram Rathore (owner) who help us from menu items with sweat spoken thank you memorable day.

Four or five story walk up to a small but very pleasant, shaded roof top restaurant with friendly service. Had a wonderful fruit, granola and ice cream confection, a welcome break from standard Indian fare. NB- the view is nice but doesn't really include the lake...

Like almost all other travellers , I was stopped by Sandeep who wanted to show me his tea with a â magic pinchâ. I was quite sceptical of the word â magicâ in the beginning ( has a different meaning in Pushkar) but I decided to give it a try. He showed me how to make 6 different flavours of tea with his magic pinch. I prefer tea without milk ( although Iâm more of a coffee drinker ) so I did enjoy his 7 cups of tea. However with the spicy curry I ate, the last few cups of tea tasted the same to me( probably due to the strong curry taste in my mouth ). Nevertheless he is indeed a chatty and friendly guy who serves a good tea

Funky monkey cafe is small roadside cafe with great food options. We visited the cafe for Breakfast. We ordered chocolate nutella banana pancake and fruit muselli with honey and curd. Taste was good. It offers fresh juices and we had watermelon and pomegranate juice. They have nice coffee machine.Â

THE LAUGHING BUDDHA CAFE HAS MOVED ...to bigger and better premises! Yes, it's a little sad, and even slightly disturbing, to see the stairs we painted to advertise the Laughing Buddha Cafe now used to advertise another restaurant! Don't be fooled by it a
This place is amazing. I cannot understand (from our experience) how it would be possible to rate less than 5 stars. The salads were just delicious, freshly prepared and really interesting. Itâs not often something that healthy is that tasty. Ambience in the place was really nice too. Only downside was that the service was a little confused and disinterested at times but when the food is that good you can just throw it at me and Iâll be happy. Final note, the banana cake with homemade peanut butter is next level stuff. SO GOOD.

Simply wonderful! At the bottom of the menu it says, "Food is not just calories, it's vital information which contains important messages for each and every cell of the body." I couldn't agree more. The food at Honey and Spice sent positive, life-affirming messages to every cell in my body. Would definitely go back again if/when I revisit Pushkar.Dear Friend , I'm most delghted to hear that your body feels invigorated after eating with us . Our mission is to provide nutritious yet tasty fare . Next time please try our breath taking salads as they are very special . Best Regards SAPPY
