The LOKAL Potsdam is a spot where you can get great beakfast, homecooked lunch (like tomato soup, chili con carne and so on), great coffee, softdrinks, draft beer, wine, cocktails and much more. Come in and enjoy.
We where looking for something to warm up and eat something small. The only place we saw In this area was Lokal. At first it looked OK but we had been disappointed. The tables where dirty with plates, cups...Thr 1 male staff was mor einterested in his mobile then taking care of its guests. We had a wrap and a potato bake which where freshly prepared, but without much taste. The place felt like it was missing a lot of detail to make it good.Just don't go there.

On the edge of Sanssouci Park, this small informal cafe provides snacks and drinks for thirsty walkers at the rear of an old building near a stream. Seating is on deck chairs and a variety of mis matched chairs & benches.

I came across this small organic restaurant by chance on a rainy easter lunchtime. Very nice welcome, great organic food menu, really delicious food (including lots of vegan and gluten free options). Fabulous cakes. Highly recommended.

This is a very nice cafe in a terrific location in downtown Potsdam! Lots of atmosphere and history! They offer great food and drinks. That being said, the service stinks. It took forever to order (I had to flag someone down to take our order), they messed up the drink order and were fairly rude about it. The food arrived at the same time as the drink finally did. No one followed up to see if anything else was needed. Trying to pay was a huge task! The staff acted as if they were bothered to take our money and then seemed upset when they did not receive a tip! (Keep in mind, tipping in Germany is not mandatory as it is in the USA.)It is too bad the service was so horrible, as it took away from the really good food.

Popped in here during a business trip to Potsdam for an early(ish) breakfast. The food was delicious- I had a delightful quiche that came with a tasty side salad. They also had lots of different types of eggs, sausages, cheese breakfasts, etc. on the menu to choose from. The owner was very friendly and was very kind to translate the menu for me to English. Looking forward to coming back!
