Home to royalty, billionaires, diplomats, and the international business elite, it is one of the most prestigious communities in the Washington, D.C. area (and the US). In 2013, CNNMoney listed Potomac as the most affluent town in all the United States based on median household income. Potomac is also the seventh-most top-educated American small town according to Forbes. Bloomberg Businessweek labeled Potomac as the twenty-ninth-richest zip code in the United States in 2011, stating that it had the largest population of any U.S. town with a median income of more than $240,000. In 2012, The Higley Elite 100 published a list of highest-income neighborhoods by mean household income, which included four neighborhoods in Potomac; one of these neighborhoods, "Carderock-The Palisades" was ranked the highest-income neighborhood in the United States, followed by "Beverly Hills-North of Sunset" in Beverly Hills, California, and "Swinks Mill-Dominion Reserve" of McLean, Virginia. More recently, two Potomac neighborhoods were ranked among the ten wealthiest neighborhoods in the country by CNBC in 2014. Our first visit to First Watch met our expectations for a great brunch. Never heard of this restaurant until I searched for "best brunch in Rockville." Although we got "in line" on their app, our estimated seating time was delayed by about 15 minutes. Next time we'll factor this in. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, evidenced by a high volume of lively chatter. The service was prompt and pleasant, the food was generous and tasty, and the price was fine. We'll be back...and we'll bring friends.

I have been to many Nordstrom Cafes before and they are always such a delight. The prices are reasonable, the food is excellent in taste, and the service is impeccable. This Nordstrom Cafe however, was nothing short of chaotic and disappointing. It was honestly a nightmare to dine here. When we arrived everything seemed fine; our waitress was very kind and seemed eager serve us. We ordered, and from then on it spiraled downwards. We waited for nearly an hour for the food to come and when it finally did, it was cold and only half of the order arrived. We spoke to the manager, and she decided to give us the desserts we ordered as a gift for the terrible service. Things seemed to get better. Boy were we wrong. One of the desserts arrived in a timely manner while we waited forever for the famous Bread Pudin to arrive. I ordered a spoon to one of the other waitresses since ours disappeared, and the way she treated me made me feel attacked. She was extremely rude to say the least. When the Bread Pudin finally arrived, they had packed it in a box rather than serve it on a plate. We honestly had a very sour after taste when the time came to pay the check. Not even the reasonable price justified the horrific experience in this cafe. Next time you plan to eat on the mall make sure to stop by a food court because I can assure you, you will have a better experience there than here.

WHERE TO BEGIN? THE BEST coffee, tea, hot chocolate, with an array of "milks" and sweeteners and the BEST DESSERTS of ANY pastry shop, near or far. There are specialty cakes made to your hearts desire and specification!! IF you CANNOT come up with something super and spectacular, Pastry Chef and co-owner, Lindsay will!! THE BEST ingredients are used to bake pies, cookies, cakes, scones, fruit bars, brownies. Most dietary restrictions can be followed, just give them enough time to have it specially made. Recently opened and making quite an impact already. Party and event favors abound. Christenings, Holiday themes, wedding cakes, anniversary cakes, graduation cakes, and of course birthday cakes for EVERY age! Bring friends, family, team members, co-workers, have a date.
