Things to do in Portsea
We weren't sure if Brumby's had anything for lunch but there was a range of pies, drinks, cakes, pizza slices and rolls cooked with fillings. I ordered the Chicken Peri Peri pie and my wife chose the spinach and fetta sausage roll. When i bit through the crust it was disappointing to find the filling mainly consisted of a mashed pulp of some sort. I did find one piece of meat that resembled chicken and while it was a nice flavour i am questioning the ingredients actually are. My wife told me the sausage roll was nice - my pie wasn't. The outdoor seating was a nice spot.

Real score 4.2.The Sisters is a lovely cafe that is currently underrated on TripAdvisor. The cafe is sited in a beautiful garden setting with olive trees, herbs, veggies and various fruits growing in areas around the tables and chairs. Itâs beautiful here on a mild sunny day like today. We liked the menu which had a number of enticing items. It was a close run thing with the soups and salads but in the end we both chose the the avocado smash with egg. Itâs hard to get excited about such a standard brunch dish but the one they do here is wonderful. Its simplicity and overall flavour was striking. For starters, itâs a generous size. The avo they use is also top quality and best of all the feta they use is utterly delicious. The egg was done beautifully too and they use good quality sourdough. A couple of squeezes of the lemon wedge across the lot and the overall flavour of the dish is just terrific. A real surprise, but itâs the best avo smash Iâve had for several years, I reckon. Just a beauty. We mused for a while about how the dish could possibly be improved. It took a while but all we came up with was that a tiny bit more greenery might be useful. The coffee here was pretty good too particularly my partnerâs strong skinny flat white. She can get a bit snaky if the brew isnât as strong as she likes. Hers was done superbly here making her very happy. Service was pleasant here making for a really good overall visit here. We liked the cafe immensely and will definitely return soon.

RORO Café on the Beach is located right on the beach at Queenscliff with stunning views across the Bay. Serving serious coffee, a fresh menu of local and regional produce, great service, the best breakfast in town, and a changing menu. But it is the views
It's amazing..A beautifully favoured broth, with abundance seafood.. huge prawns, plump scallops, mussels & fish .. yum!We visited RORO on the recommendation of friends, and certainly was not disappointed. We were made to feel welcome by lovely friendly staff.. Rosie, Chantelle & Danielle all very attentive and professional, which made our experience at RORO extra special, as well as the fantasic bay views.Thank you for your lovely review of the Seafood Chowder, the Food and Beverage Team and the lovely views. Your feedback has been passed on to Rosie, Chantelle & Danielle. The Seafood Chowder is a house speciality and is on the main menu. Lord by many regulars it is a bountiful dish.Hope to see you back again soon, maybe choosing something from our daily specials board next time!Warm regards,Leanne

Think we have found our new favourite Q/cliff cafe for brunch. Located on main road into town, easy to park outside (compared to fighting for car spots in centre of town).Spotlessly clean, light & airy, friendly staff & great menu covering all the breakfast/lunch favourites- wide selection of teas (for me) & good coffee (for husband). I had mushies on toast, with spinach/goats cheese - scrumptious!! Hubby had smashed avo with bacon on side - he polished it all off. Good value for money, we'll be back soon!!!

Tried a few different places in town for coffee and this was my favourite. Well made with good flavour. Food looked good and plenty of room to fit. Other inside and out.

I was delighted to have discovered this cafe during the weekend of the Air Show in early March after catching the ferry from Portsea to Queenscliff. Here I succumbed to a peaceful, quiet read, cuppa and brunch in their tranquil garden setting. They also kindly allowed me to order something from the lunch menu a bit earlier than usual to accommodate me.Iâll gladly avoid the busy main street and come to this place again.

Unfortunately this cafe experience was very disappointing. Although l donât like strong coffees, ours were too weak. My main breakfast dish ( only requested one piece of gluten free optional bread) was overpriced at $24 and basically presented. When enquiring as to whether l could have a little parsley or something to add to the plate bareness, the waiter was arrogant and argumentative. Far from customer care and spoilt my Birthday experience.
