Things to do in Port Hedland
This was a sad experience. The person to whom I spoke had obviously not heard of the value of Customer Service. There was no welcome, or accompanying smile. The entire procedure for giving my request gave the returned assumption that I had really messed up her day. At no time did she confirm my request, at no time did she give the impression that my custom was appreciated. The "snack" when delivered was okay at best, the drinks were more than warm but less than hot. however, the lady delivering same did so with a smile. The place was not busy, in fact my wife and I were the only 2 occupying a table. To make matters worse, on the wall close to our table I noticed a sign which advised that the "Business was For Sale"!! Actually I knew that prior to attending and deliberately seated ourselves where I could observe the Staff and the passing public. I shall not be considering this venue further. The current owners need to change their staff, or change the attitude of the current staff and emphasize upon them that the Customer is there out of choice - the staff are there out of necessity. Sorry, but I cannot recommend this venue!
Where to eat Australian food in Kingston SE: The Best Restaurants and Bars
Tucked away on the Right side as you enter from the Eastern entrance to the shopping centre. Takes you away from the bustle of the shopping centre. Good range of cafe food, and full meals. Take away or dine in. Section of stools to perch on at front, or choose to eat in the dining area. A couple of 'booths' with comfy lounge chairs. Some books and kid friendly section. Great for coffee, choice of turkish breads with filling, full meals, all day breakfasts and a range of drinks and range of milks. Easy going place, good for catch ups, used by locals a lot. Prompt, friendly service. Order at the counter and food is delivered to the table.

We only stopped for a coffee and a sandwich. Nice little cafe / restaurant which was clean and tidy. The choice of food looked appetizing, and our sandwiches turned out to be delicious, as was the coffee. Excellent, friendly service.
After a long drive from Broome we stopped at the Shopping centre to restock - saw this coffee shop opposite so had a coffee and a home made cake - really excellent - also saw the extensive menu for Lunch
We stopped to restock at the supermarket and saw this take away that sells home cooked Asian style meals at really cheap prices - we got a few to freeze and eat latter on

Great venue, plenty of different areas and seating types to choose from. Child friendly areas. Meeting rooms and upstairs, booths. The harbour and shipping activity can be viewed well from here. Birds becoming a bit of problem on outside tables. May need insect repellent. Lovely old wooden medical quarters restored. Coffee is great. Food is a bit hit and miss. Can be great at times. Hot food can be a bit cold by the time it reaches you.
