Located at one of the most historical yet quiet streets in Georgetown, Penang. The dark and narrow street was the home to many budget hotels. We have never envisioned Love Lane would become how it is today one of the most happening streets in Penang. As a
A good people-watching location on Love Lane...nice food selection. Service was rather 'relaxed' on both my visits. They were busy on my first visit so forgiven. The second visit they weren't busy and service a bit lacking. Nothing wrong with taking things slowly on a holiday but a little disheartening when a service charge is applied to the bill.Hi Mervdunia, thanks so much for your 2 times and review. We are cafe & bar located at tourist spot whereby our ambiance is towards relax way, we apologize if our speed did not meet your expectation. However we have to clarify that WE DIDN'T COLLECT SERVICE CHARGE, the bill is subject to 6% government tax which is impose by the government. (the bill is clearly stated 6% Government Tax). We hope it will not mislead other customers. Cheers.

We came all the way to try their amazing pancakes and we arrive at 11.20 and they only serve pancakes after 12. Kind of disappointing that the meals that they advertise in their menus have timing to be served. Unfortunately we left without trying their meals.

The furniture is custom made resembling 1950's vintage creating a homely atmosphere mixed with old equipment of the Chinese pharmaceutical company which owned the premises of the restaurant and boutique hotel. Lately it has been hard to find fish on the menu so I was delighted by the steamed Tilapia served with ginger, the best food this far on Penang. The front of the room opens straight to the busy streets of Little India, the ceiling fans create a nice temperature level. Service was very friendly and attentive, prices reasonable.

Straight from the airport, we went straight to this restaurant for lunch. The menu seemed modest but very neatly written & presented. The dining area was also catchy with a classic European theme. The satay and the nasi lemak deserved compliments. Their flavours were well balanced and rich in textures. The only mistake was to include raw zucchini in place of plain raw cucumber. If they had used Japanese cucumber then it would have been perfect.Keep it up and for patrons, donât miss out on this hidden gem.

MEWS CAFÃ serves Malay food prepared with fresh local ingredients. Diners can choose to dine in a cozy air-conditioned setting or alfresco. The cafe delectable spread is all prepared with homemade sauces and spices, without the usage of MSG.
It was fairly good. The chicken of the Nash lemak was very tough. The mocktails were good, the coffee was standard Nespresso stuff, the satay was good and we also ordered rojak which was OK. The setting was pleasant and the service nonchalant. Overall, better than average but not spectacular.Thank you for dining at Mew's Cafe. We are happy to know that you had a good meal with us. We appreciate your feedback and will take the necessary steps to make improvements. We hope you will be back to soon.

Café Lagenda heralds guests with a sense of history adorning its walls. Scatter cushions with the tantalizing aromas wafting through from the kitchen is a seductive first impression. Serving the cuisine of yesteryear fused with the legacy of different Asi
The tempura prawns were the nicest I've ever had, the fruit shake was also the nicest I've ever had, and our main course was absolutely delicious. Generous portion sizes with a variety of foods and flavours on the plate. Fantastic service, too. Highly recommended!

We walked through the city to take a look at the street art and saw this restaurant had a high rating on trip advisor. It is located at the beginning of our trip so we decided to have lunch here. We were welcomed by a very friendly man (I think the owner) who showed us a table and took our order. The menu contained only one dish: laksa, and several drinks or smoothies. So not a lot of choice but the laksa was defenitly worth it. Very tasty and a bit spicy, maybe too spicy if you don't like it but I'm sure that can be less if you say it beforehand. Overall very good food, friendly service, and a great location, so I definitely recommend this place!

Visited for lunch on our last day in George Town. Fantastic service, friendly and super quick, food was delicious (tuna and cheese sandwich and a Bombay chicken chop). You also receive free water, which the wait staff top up for you whenever necessary which is a nice touch. Excellent value for money, would highly recommend if in the area, just a shame we only found this place on our last day!

Kota Dine & Coffee @ Fort Cornwallis. Your very first dining experience within a historic and iconic landmark in Georgetown, Penang.
Pros1. Great food presentation2. Pricing fairly reasonable3. Good portioning4. Nice ambienceCons1. We had pre-ordered some food when we booked the place earlier but they did not take it down.2. When requested for warm water, we were told TWICE they donât serve normal water and we had to order mineral water. We never said we were not happy to pay for it...waiters need to be re-trained...3. ordered the cendol but it was frozen hard when it came.. told the waiters twice but they didnât do anything about it..I hope tourists donât get the wrong idea about this dish..Hi Dear valued customer,Thank you for taking time to review your experience with us. Came here tonight and has great burgers and fries. I can definitely recommend the chicken blood sauce burger (sounds worse than it is as it's very delicious and great sauce). The catch burger is also really tasty ( ask waiter if fish was fresh in first). We tried the mojito and passionfruit mojito and I can recommend but the passionfruit mojito I thought was amazing. Wonderful service by staff as well. Decor is very hippy and 70s I felt. Definitely recommend. Tip: they take only cash payment
