During the week we are a coffeehouse/cafe. Breakfast all day! Lunch. Vegan and Gluten Free options. Saturday's are the same. Order at the register, grab a seat and we bring it to you! Sunday is a Champagne brunch from 9-3pm. Table service with LIVE MUSIC.
We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and were excited to see that there were a number of happy late lunchers. We ordered breakfast for lunch, omelets with toast and potatoes. It was all excellent. Actually, everything was made very well. The omelet was full of goodies. The bread was a good quality. And there were so many potatoes that I had leftovers. Seating is comfortable and staff are very pleasant. Cannot wait for an excuse to go back.
Where to eat Italian food in Patterson: The Best Restaurants and Bars
Sunflour bakery has become a local hot spot in Pawling, the coffee is great and the baked goods are yummy. A group of us stopped in on a Sunday late morning for coffee and snacks, I especially recommend the biscuits, they are well baked, light and very flavorful!
We stopped in one afternoon for some sweet treats and hot drinks...and we left with happy hearts and warm satisfied bellies! There were samples of excellent peppermint brownies and yummy macaroons to feast upon first. Then the 3 youngest kids had brownies which they gobbled up. The oldest had a "light & dark shadow" bar which was like a brownie with a meringue topping...he gobbled it up as well. My hubby had the turtle bar which he loved. I had the toffee pudding "cupcake" which was like a bread pudding with toffee and a cream cheese frosting on top...totally delicious!!!Our 2 oldest kids had the homemade hot cocoa which they raved about...and I had some delightful hot peppermint herbal tea. My mother-in-law has had the coffee which she says is quite flavorful and decadent. The chocolate croissant is my mother-in-law's favorite treat there. And if you are looking for something more hearty, the roasted Brie tomato basil on a brioche roll is divine, she says! The pea soup is yummy and the quiche is very good & rich, as well. The cafe is decorated tastefully with the chef's photos from abroad. There were also a few non-food items for sale as well when we went. It is cozy and comfortable...seating probably under 20 guests. The chef's mom, Carol, was helping out when we were there...she was so nice and friendly!!Breakfast, lunch, and treats are the main focus...but the chef, Diane, will also do specialty cakes, pies, cookie platters...to order. You name it...and she can probably create it. Her artistic talents really are showcased on those specialty items...see her webpage to decide yourself: thepastrypalate.com.Only the freshest grade A high quality ingredients are used by the chef...so your palate is always in for a treat. And one last note: The menu changes weekly so you may want to drop in weekly to see what tasty items may satisfy your palate!!:) Thank you, Chef Diane, for making your wonderful baked goods available to us now at a beautiful cafe.
