This is mostly an Asian restaurant, but we were here at lunch time and the menu had a wide variety of choices. Located at the far end of old town, just before the bridge to the bears. We ate outside at a communal long table, but it was not very busy. I had a very large salad with tuna (canned variety), and partner had minestrone soup and Asian shrimp dumplings. We have been regular customers at the Schöngrün over past years and we always thoroughly enjoyed it. We even had our wedding reception there in 2012.Their menu offers a culinary dining experience to high standards. Service is well educated both on food and wine and they're friendly too! The setting is chic but relaxed and the terrace offers shaded seating on sunny summer days.With its location a bit out of the city centre the Schöngrün is still certainly worth the quick trip!

Very charming little restaurant, in a stunning old small building. Also great atmosphere inside! Definitely hidden gem, but reservation absolutely necessary anyways, it was booked out to the last table!! The food was great, apparently they change the menu every month. Also they mentioned that the goose liver is not foie gras but from naturally fed goose, which is a big plus, also for pointing out that this is very important to the restaurant. Only with the card payment there was a problem as the machine did not work properly....we were very glad that one of us happened to have a lot of cash with them-LOL.

Lovely place, very "gemütlich", perfect to work (some power outlets, Wi-Fi, but not in the backroom). The Montags menu is simple (salad, soup, two canapés), but very good, they serve quality products and the service is very friendly. They usually have several different salads, ask for what they have. Unfortunately no ventilator. Also, toilets are worth a visit.
