Stopped for a afternoon snack, I had a cappuccino and apple turnover. Delicious the place was a little gem. Quaint cozy friendly. Staff was pleasant and accommodating. The have specialty coffees, pastries, smoothies, sandwiches. Outdoor seating available. When in downtown New Bern this is a must stop.

a REAL 'healthy' place to eat that actually serves GOOD FOOD! extensive menu of Sandwiches, Salads, Smoothies and more. The breads are excellent, the fruit smoothies are fresh and thick -- not soupy or watery! Beautiful presentation at the table, and take -out is equally attractive. Great location - plenty of free parking -- unlike our Downtown area .. and this little gem is just what we needed! Fresh, Clean, BRIGHT and Beautiful!

Here for a breakfast last week. Had the vegetable omelets. Eggs were perfect. Marred only by slightly tough spinach and cold tomato filling.Could have used a bit more time on the stove. Still, quite good.Coffee was very good. Lots of variety.Will definitely return.

After my awful dinner, I was in need of something to cleanse my palette. The gals working at The Bistro were so cheerful and friendly. I think they could tell I needed some cheer. I asked for something sweet and I was told about the rice krispy treats, brownies, scones and cookies. I opted for a warmed cookies turned into an ice cream sundae. I was told the cookies are made there everyday and the plate was so artfully made up. I can't believe I forgot to take a photo. It was so yummy and delicious though and made up for my poor experience earlier in the night.Besides sweets, they offer breakfast, lunch and coffee and other beverages. If you are looking for great food and friendly service this is your place.

"Mom and Pop" shop with an open grill and homemade chicken salad, tuna salad, pasta salad (in season) and egg salad (in season). All food is cooked to order. We have a large back room for groups. We are the oldest, consistently open restaurant in New Bern

Warm, friendly atmosphere. Family eat breakfast here often. Owner and servers are very very warm and inviting...almost like eating with a close friend. Everything came out exactly as ordered. The omelette was perfectly made for my liking. Tasted like good home made biscuits. Will definitely stop again when in the area. This was one of the best breakfasts I've had in a long time in a restaurant. They do have an ATM machine on site now. I guess if you want to pay with a credit card have to pay attention to the door. If the credit card logos are not on the door, they do not accept credit cards. I guess this could be a surprise if you normally pay by card, like we do. Fortunately, we did have cash with us on our trip. This didn't bother us at all.

We visit Sea Glass about once every 2 weeks. The meals are without exception excellent. Iâd like to meet the chef and thank him/her! We are never disappointed whether here for breakfast or lunch( no dinner is offered). No easy to find but weâll worth the search.

This one has the best Lox and Cream cheese/Bagel in town!! Thinly sliced onion, a sprinkle of dill, GOBS of fluffy cream cheese, a fresh bagle -- I prefer not toasted, and layers and layers of paperthin Smoked Salmon!! actually One Sandwich is enough for two people -- or lunch the next day! -- and if you're thinking about Breakfast the next morning ... their muffins float off the tray!! HUGE, fluffy, warm --- and add a cup of coffee and you're good to go!

Between touring Tryon Palace and the 2 houses that are also part of the package, my wife and I decided to eat here. We had one of the quiches of the day, ham and cheese which was very tasty. We also had strawberry lemonade which I feel is too costly at $4 a glass especially when there are no free refills. Our server Kayla was very good and did explain the no refill policy to us but I ordered a second one anyway. My wife got water instead.

We stopped in for ice cream and wound up getting lunch after seeing their menu. The decor is soda Shoppe, but needs updating. There's a play area in the back for kids, so I guess the place is geared to them. The food was ok and they have a good selection of ice cream.
