Stopped in for a quick lunch. Sat outdoors on the deck. Great waitress, fun and personable. I had the caprese salad. It was fantastic! Light and fresh. They serve Gull Dam Raspberry Wheat Beer here. Had a pint, paired perfectly with the salad and sunshine. We will definitely be back!

School of the Wise went unexplored for quite some time by this reviewer. I wasn't quite sure exactly what it was based on its name. I was quite pleasantly surprised when my daughter and I decided to have lunch there one Saturday afternoon. I had a ham and havarti sandwich - which truly tasted like my college favorite Big 10 subs - although is on a toasted ciabatta instead of a hoagie roll. My daughter had their roasted tomato soup and the grown-up grilled cheese sandwich. We each had a glass of wine with our food and had a very wonderful meal. Since that first visit, I've returned both with my daughter and with my husband numerous times. The staff is friendly and attentive. The food (that tomato soup is fabulous!) is always good and the vibe is fun and informal. It feels like a tucked away cafe in NYC - think Central Perk - and you want to stay awhile in that quirky setting. I highly recommend SOTW.
Sometimes they are friendly, but sometimes they donât say Good Morning and just say âWhat can I get you?âI didnât care for the music...I like more 89.3 The Current than what they were playing. The coffee and breakfast sandwich was good. The young female server called me âsirâ which I just hate. Overall, I just didnât like the vibe.
