This place is great!!! Great staff! Love the couches for a comfy vibe. Tons of tables to sit and eat. I got the James brown coffee which was amazing. My friend gets the drip and itâs different daily and great! The food looks good but we didnât have any! Lots of vegan options! Solid choice for a coffee with friends!!

Located right in the middle of downtown Monrovia, the Myrtle Tree has been open for three months. The outside is unassuming so it is surprising to walk into this bright airy space with a high blue vaulted ceiling. Instead of shoving a million tables together the garden has plenty of open space. There is a combination of sofa style seating, tables with chairs and tables with benches. Lots of plants add to the atmosphere and they have a substantial area with organic products for sale. You place your order at the counter, get a number and waiters bring the order out. Our table ordered oatmeal, belgian waffle, quiche Lorraine, spinach & mushroom quiche, smoked salmon panini. Clam chowder is good served fresh bread. Quiche is decent served with a big side of fresh fruit and organic salad. Service was quick and polite. They need to work on the coffee but overall a great experience and I will return.

Merengue Bakery is one of Southern Californiaâs premiere bakeries, offering handmade cakes, pastries and traditional Cuban delicacies, with an in-house café where you can relax and enjoy a cup of Café Cubano or savor one of our world-famous papa rellenas.
This place looked like a place to eat some pastries. However, it does have light lunch like sandwiches and meat pies Cuban empanadas. A lot of people were dropping by to order cakes.k I had their brewed coffee and napoleon and my brother had tea and a mango cheesecake. It was good but heavy to eat and the pieces were quite substantial. Wished it was a little smaller and easier to savor- not too overwhelming.

My friends and I love to have breakfast at Nano's. The staff is very friendly and helpful. You can order a huge breakfast or just an item or two. Your coffee cup and/or tea pot is never empty.Nano's has breakfast and lunch specials that are huge and are moderately priced. My favorite is the 7 grain pancakes. Two of these and I don't need lunch.

We were eight for dinner and choose this restaurant because we knew it would be quiet. And it was. We can all hear each other talk. But of course the best part was the food. Some in our group ordered the three-course special while others just ordered a la carte. All the food was fabulous. All fresh. All delicious. All well priced. The wait staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Iâm not often in this area, but next time I find myself here I will return.

This restaurant is quite popular! We were there on a Friday morning for a baby shower and it was quite crowded with diners both inside and out and those waiting to be seated. We had reservations so we were seated right away. Food and service was excellent. It can be quite noisy and feels somewhat cramped. The facilities are located on the second level via stairs or a lift. City parking lot is free and convenient.
