Reviews on Cafe food in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States. Located on the shores of Lake Michigan, Milwaukee is perhaps best known for its famous breweries and the Major League Brewers, but there's more to the city than beer and baseball. Milwaukee is rich in historical and cultural attractions, making it the perfect place for a weekend of exploring. Check out the newly expanded Milwaukee Art Museum or the Mitchell Park Horticultural Society, which hosts an annual show of the same flora and fauna seen in Georgia O'Keefe's paintings. Those interested in the city's history can visit the grand Pabst Mansion, former home of one of the city's famous beer barons, or the Milwaukee Public Museum, to see what life was like in Old Milwaukee. If the kids are along, don't miss the Milwaukee County Zoo or the Betty Brinn Children's Museum. Of course a trip to the "Genuine American City" would not be complete without a tour of the Miller Brewing Company and a Brewers game at Miller Park.

Loved this place - interesting and limited menu. Very clean and friendly. Had their Mexican breakfast plate - can't remember its name but it's the only Mexican one on there - and it was delicious. Had an interesting avocado-tomatillo sauce on it. My husband tried the mashed potato omelet and loved it. I'm sure we'll be back.

My vegetarian daughter suggested going here for lunch (although you can get some chicken in a few dishes or as an add on). We were not disappointed. My wife had the signature Sweet Potato and black bean burrito. It was very delicious...and very hearty. I had the super burrito which had all the elements of a great burrito--guacamole, black olives, sour cream, refried beans...and most importantly, salsa of your choice--mild, medium, hot. Service was good. Facility was clean. Seating as well as counter service is available. And you can stop over to the store side to pick up a few items to take home with you too. This is well worth your stop.

While visiting with family in Milwaukee, they took us Cafe Lulu for dinner. It's a fun little place. I had one of their melts (forgot which one) but it was delicious. It had spinach and portobello mushrooms sautéed with garlic, and melted mozzarella cheese on grilled bread. Very tasty. My husband who likes more basic food should have stuck with the burger. He said the filling in his pita was okay, but that the steak was not very tender. I think everybody else in our party was pleased with their meal.

Located in the heart of the vibrant Third Ward, Café Benelux celebrates the unique culture of Lowlands Europe with a massive, award-winning Belgian bier selection, a full from-scratch menu, and Milwaukeeâs most unique rooftop patio.
I had a great lamb burger here during a business lunch. As a Belgian place would be expected to have, they have great moules et frites. There are lots of other Belgian classics on menu. They have indoor and outdoor seating and itâs a great place to be outside on a nice day in this happening sort of Milwaukee. The staff were really great and attentive. The Belgian beers are flowing and the patrons were having a good time.

My husband had Pork Slawsome - Flavorful, fries a plenty (hand cut) with a great slaw! I had Smoked Salmon Hash. I requested my eggs scrambled, which Iâm quite sure is some sort of crime but my wish was granted without so much as a wrinkled nose. My hash was awesome, I would probably request a wee bit more horseradish cream if I were to get a chance to eat there again. And I would LOVE to eat there again. We also shared a house salad which was huge. The food was delivered quickly by a very nice waitress whoâs name Iâve forgotten but maybe weâll see her in Hawaii one day!

Though I didn't stay at this hotel during my time in Milwaukee, I did come here for breakfast one morning. It was an excellent breakfast. Large portions, fresh, cooked perfectly, reasonably priced. Service was great, friendly as well. Highly recommend this place for breakfast.

Went here because it was featured on a few Food Network shoes & it did not disappoint! We each had sandwiches; the Cuban and Pulled Pork. Bread was super fresh and authentic (Cuban), the meats extremely tasty plus generous portions and the fries were fresh cut. We had one of their hone made, in house dressers, key lime pie....yum!! Hubby ordered a side of crispy bacon too, amazing! We highly recommend the Comet Cafe!
