What can I say..Their coffee is always yummy, their food has always tasted wonderful, the courtyard is a enjoyable secluded spot, their staff are always extremely friendly and knowledgeable, their deli and shelves are well always stocked with yummy cheeses, meats, oils, pastas, sauces, ..........and the toilet is always clean. That's why I keep going back :)
So it's the first time in thirty years that I have been to this town... it's a really pleasantly relaxing drive out to it, through beautiful Gippsland countryside. Once you arrive at the town... it's quite small. So the café is easy to find. The staff are quite friendly and the café has a quaint, country town feel. The menu is reasonable... mostly home grown food, which is what you would expect and look forward to in a town of this vintage. What I will say is that the food tastes good, the choice of teas and coffees was good... but perhaps a little pricey for such a small town.
Nice atmosphere, warm inside but I made the mistake of eating a focaccia. It looked good but I think it had been sitting in the fridge since the day before. Chicken was dry and avocado tasted mediocre. Cheese amount was excellent however. Wouldn't mind trying out lunch/dinner menu
Ordered the special roast pork. There are certain expectations with a roast, mainly roast vegetables like pumpkin, carrots etc, not on this night. Pork was a peculiar very very dark meat, was it Pork? Not sure. Crackling is not provided nor were any roast vegetables, only potatoes in a creamy sauce, corn pieces cabbage and tomatoes with soggy cheese topping.A very sub standard meal regardless of the price. Staff and bar service are excelent, shame the kitchen staff lets them down so badly.

Noweyung started Cells Cafe primarily to provide opportunities for people with disabilities to gain some work experience, training and paid work hours in an active hospitality environment. At the same time, we aimed to deliver really good coffee, fresh fo
This is a great place to have lunch where I donât feel uncomfortable being there alone. My baked potato was delicious and big!The staff are very pleasant and I noticed a couple of well behaved small dogs in the outside area which was nice to see.I will go there again.

Contemporary cooking with locally sourced produce. Local wine, beer and ciders. Vegetarian, Vegan and Gluten free options.
The owner himself does the cooking here and does not take constructive criticism well at all.Our food was terrible and when raised they owner became very aggressive. Give it a missHi there. Obviously very disappointed you had a bad experience with us and please accept my apologies. However, I canât recall this incident at all. I certainly havenât been aggressive at any point to any customer, so feel free to call in some time to discuss.

Found a place for the daily grind. Just off the main street and the hustle and bustle of life. Great coffee and environment. Have never eaten here but food looks great and smells delicious every morning. I love the building and its rustic Ness, love to live in it. All that aside, a great all rounder with a quiet place to sit, in or out. Good job ladies.

Situated in Bairnsdale, Mr. D Food & Coffee is conveniently located on the bustling corner of Main and Service streets.
The food was very nice. Well seasoned and tasty. Coffee was a bit mediocre. The staff were inexperienced and flustered. It felt as though they hadnât been adequately trained....they didnât seem to remember simple things like cutlery and it took several prompts to get things like our menus etc. I donât think we will be back. Whilst the food was good, the wait for it was long, service was poor and overall Iâd rate this experience as average.

Casual, café style dining for breakfast and lunch Monday-Sunday 8am-4pm.
Stopped here for a quick bite whilst in Paynesville. Food was nice & service good. The fritatta was a bit bland however - but the poached egg with avocado and fritters was delicious. We will stop here again in future should we be in the area.

Humble country eating and drinking house set in an old bakery with an historic, wood fired Scotch Oven
Wow what a wonderful find in this small East Gippsland town. Service, ambience and of course the food was great! Husband had the Lamb shank, parmesan polenta, gremolata, roasted root vegetables. I had the Matured goat's cheese, spinach and caramelized onion tart, both superb! And what can i say about dessert, Ginger pudding, quince ice cream with brandy butter sauce, so good! Loved that it was set in an old bakery with the 100 year old oven on display. Hopefully we will get to experience this wonderful little gem again!
