We were part of a large group who tried getting seated at the nearby "Stacks" breakfast place. The wait was too long, so we walked down the street and found this place. With only two young girls working, they were able to prepare breakfast and coffee for our group of 21 people! The food was tasty and the coffee delicious. We would return....

"Jason's omelette" was great! My gf said it's the best on our trip, and we're eating a lot of them! The waitress seemed busy and engaged at first, but with shrooms in my omelette that I asked to be left out, requested salsa forgotten, and nary a word when she plopped the check, followed by nary a word when she deposited my credit card, I'm not sure if it was just an oversight, or her. The food was not a disappointment!

We were visiting Stanford University and on the way out we decided to have a quick lunch in Palo Alto. University Avenue is usually impossible to park but a car pulled out and we were lucky to take its place. We were parked in front of Cafe Sprout. We knew nothing about it but the food people were eating looked interesting. We went in. One orders at the counter from the extensive salad etc. menu on the wall or can make up his own using a form available on small clipboards. We ordered two salads - the nicoise with tuna and the Cobb salad. They were very good. It was hot outside so we ate inside. The waiter brought us our salads and we picked ourselves from the refrigerator the drinks we had orders. Very efficient.

This is a great bakery tucked into Town and Country. Loads of things to choose from. Get it to go or sit there. The sourdough is the best I have had in the area.

Three of us loved our choices at Joanies. I chose the Hawaiian French Toast, minus the bananas,thick sliced brioche, grilled with a light touch of caramel, served with grilled sliced fresh pineapple and warm syrup, wow!! Others also thought their choices were great. Service was quick, and servers kept the coffee cups replenished. A storefront cafe' that is award worthy.

Today was my 4th and final attempt with Cafe Borrone. Every time I go, I order a 16oz vanilla latte. I get something different every time, either the wrong size or flavor. Today, the barista made my drink iced instead of hot, then remade it in the wrong size. The lines are insane, the staff is snippy when informed of mistakes, and the quality is good enough to go back.
