Visited The Cottage today for breakfast with my hubby.Best breakfast in town made with locally sourced ingredients, staff are very friendly and always make you feel welcome and comfortable, Iâve not long finished chemotherapy and feel very hot at times and the lady even asked if I get too hot she will open window / doors to make me feel comfortable. Will visit again and again âï¸Thank you for your review see you soon xx

Ample parking and and interesting architecture at the entrance. This a humongous garden centre organised in the usual 'Dobbie' fashion. We were particulalry impressed by the very wide range of greenhouses, sheds and such-like as your rarely get to see them in 'the flesh' and it helps greatly. We had lunch which was good but the portions were a little lacking in generosity. Had to move inside due to the wasps - can nothing be done to reduce this menace?

Popped in for a spot of lunch on the basis of all the great reviews on here. Sorry, but I'm afraid I can't agree. Everything about my visit was ho hum ! Make no mistake, I wasn't by any means expecting fine dining, I know it's a cafe and not a cordon bleu restaurant but what I had was totally underwhelming. The curry and chips was basically diced chicken mixed into a pretty bland curry sauce ... the chips were fine but you can't really go too far wrong with pre-prepared chips, can you ? Maybe I should just have had a sandwich or a roll, they looked OK. On the upside it was pretty cheap - £7 for two courses. Also for the record, the place could definitely use a lick of paint too and the seats were really uncomfortable.Iâm sorry you didnât enjoy your visit, I would like to ensure we do everything to try and please all our customers.the dining room, takeaway area and chairs have been refurbished and was in the process of being completed at the time of your visit, I hope you would come along and give us another try.

Whether its for morning coffee or a late lunch the standard of service never drops. The cafe and facilities are spotless.The food is made to order and i would recomend the home made soup and toasties. My sister had a burger and loved it. Home baking.... delicious.The staff are always very welcoming with a cheery smile and friendly banter. We where here at lunch time and they had run out of some items Service was slow and food was not very warm nor was it tasty Been awhile since we were there as previously it was not great either but decided to give it another try but still the same Donât think we will be back

Absolutely love this cafe. Visit most weeks for lunch or just coffee. It's cosy, welcoming and beautifully done out in 'shabby chic' style with the emphasis on the chic! Was a little sceptical when Google said we had arrived.But once in cosy and welcoming, The menu had a great choice for all, We chose high protein and keto option, food taste amazing wanted more, but full belly, Staff was more than happy to make an order to your taste.Will definitely come back.10 out 10.
