Wonderful bar/café, with large seating area outside. Delightful owner and waiters, great music, just at the bottom of the staircase going up to the Chiesa di San Giuseppe. Sit comfortably, order a drink, and watch the scene. And try their cassata siciliana: it is not only good - it is fantastic!!!
Siamo entrati in questo locale per cercare qualcosa di fresco per il forte caldo. Abbiamo preso un buon gelato che ci ha soddisfatto pienamente

We visited several times during our stay and watched the world go by. Cold beer and apertivo snacks available but disappointingly no real food. Staff were pleasant most of the time.

Customers who rated this 5 stars must have visited this place in a parallel universe. When we first arrived here, and asked for a menu the waitress looked at us like we were something she wanted to scrape from her shoe.This.place has no menu, so it also has no prices. Expect to be ripped off if you don't agree a price for everything before you order. The food was okay but service was incredibly rude, and the tattooed waitress seemed rather offended that we'd chosen to eat there. My advice, avoid this place like the plague.

We stayed for a week in Lipari and had our lunch at Papisca nearly every day since it it conveniently situated just beside the Canneto beach. The food was really nice, you get your arancinis, insalata di polpettos and melanzane ripienis here, not forgetting the gelato. The service was really friendly, it may have helped that one of our party speaks fluent Italian.

The place is humble and you can only seat outside but we suggest to pay your granita and have it by the coastline on the opposite side of the street.Positives:They have two super delicious granita flavours which are the local speciality:1) granita caffe (coffee)2) granita mandorla (almond)3) it's an authentic place - no design, no customer service, just authenticity people and flavours.Negatives:1) guess what's the othe side of my previous point 3..... 2) outside table are on the main square so there is a bit of traffic3) as typical Sicilian people, staff looks constantly annoyed from your request. But don't get confused or upset! It is the local way of being and deliciousness of the two granita I mentioned is worthy
