A Cornish farm shop & kitchen rooted in the Tamar Valley. Bringing people together, celebrating the good things that come with fresh food, craft & flavour. Butchers, kitchen and farm shop open 7 days a week.
We had a light lunch of here one day and the food was lovely. They have got a farm shop on the way in you can browse around before going into the restaurant - which is very light and airy and if you sit by the window the views are nice. We had an ice cream on the way out from their cabinet and it was the best ice cream we have ever tasted. Well worth a try if yoo come here.

I have came in twice quite recently and once before served by multiple staff, at first I was served by a young chap who was very kind, he took our order and thanked us after(placing our order which was two breakfasts) then he went to his work-partner as it seemed she was the chef for cooking the breakfests but however this young girl spent quite alot of time on her phone until she seemed to cook our breakfast the young boy was very swift giving us our drinks and knifes and fork and again was very polite and said thank you after giving us the drinks and fork and knives but after waiting 15 minutes we finally received our breakfasts but the girl seemed very rude and sarcastic when giving us our food, I then went into this place again where there was two chaps working and they were working great together and both young men were very nice and polite and it was a much better service then before with the rude young girl, I stress that I have never been served by such a rude waitress, it seemed as if this girl didn't care about her job but other than this everything was great I am giving 3 stars on this cause everything was great apart from the waitress.Thank you for your review Jeff. I have previously spoken to the female member of staff about using her phone and keeping customers waiting. I can only apologise and say that she won't be with us very much longer. I am very pleased to hear that on another occasion you received better service. I hope that she will not put you off visiting us again.Thank you again for your constructive comments.

Happend across the green house, it's only been there two years but how have I missed it!!!The food the service everything spot on. My wife and had had recommended drinks, I had a smoothy and she had a healthy hot chocolate. Both sudjested by the owner. They were very good.To eat we had the waffles. Again sudjested by the owner these were even better. The fruit ice-cream and waffles were just amazing. Very simply put together with amazing ingredients and an obvious love for the food. My only criticism, we were the only people in there and there was a small wait. But then she did stay open for us as we were late with no issues. this is the best place to eat in Launceston.

Step back in time, to the roaring twenties! Mervyn & Deborah welcome you to the red chair cafe. A perfect spot in Launceston for coffee, light lunches and even a chance to browse some unique oriental knot jewellery
Set against an excellent art deco surround this is a lovely little café offering good food and great personal service. As a Coeliac I have often been frustrated at the lack of or limited availability of gluten free food in establishments such as this but here there is a plentiful supply of food and cakes to satisfy every taste.Even better, prices are more than competitive. Definitely going back.PS: Try the smoothies, they are to die for!Dear Steve D, Thank you for this kind review. Like you our joint owner is a Coeliac and it is our mission to offer as much of our standard menu and counter cakes as a gluten free option with our imposing a customer surcharge. Glad you like our smoothies. they are a refreshing and healthy pick up at times when fatigue starts to creep in. Being operated and staffed by the owners in a small venue all helps us to offer our customers value for money.
We popped into the cafe for coffee and a snack after touring the Heritage Centre. It has a retro feel, with heritage signs and plastic tablecloths and has a good wholesome menu, with a good choice for children. It has a view on one side down into the Heritage Museum and you can visit it without paying to go into the Museum itself.

On our journey home from Cornwall to London we took a detour to walk the dogs and have a bite to eat. The burgers we had were very good indeed, and not overpriced. We were delighted to find a menu with multiple savoury options. The facilities were clean, and we were happy!

Driving to Cornwall we need to stop somewhere for a meal and a little shopping. Well this place does it all .Although it was nearly lunchtime we decided to have a full English breakfast.Very nice indeed and a good price also, our waitress was full of smiles and attentive Siobhan was brilliant 10/10 for her.We then went to the farm shop for some bits and pieces and a few treats. Lovely selection of foods and local too.So well worth stopping off .Dear firemanfield822,Thank you for your kind review and I am so pleased you enjoyed your recent visit to both the restaurant and farm shop.We hope to see you again when you are next in the area.Kind regardLaura MounceManager and family member
