Service is slow, but appropriate for the atmosphere. The hot tropical chicken sandwich is awesome. Sliced pineapple in between chicken salad on a croissant is an unexpectedly good combination. I like the potato salad as well. Overall the place is well decorated and clean. It is a one of a kind place in a small town.

Looking for lunch on a cold, rainy afternoon and found Serendipity Cafe. Love the decor. Got half a sandwich (Pot Roast on Sourdough) and a cup of soup (special of the day, Italian Sausage and Rotini). The sandwich was very good, but I wish I had gotten a BOWL of the soup. It was great. We will definitely try them again the next time we are in the area.

The service was slow although the restaurant was not crowded. We waited several minutes to be seated as several waitresses buzzed by, without even a Hello. Food, however was very tasty and interesting. Local eggs from local farms. Home-made jellies and jams. Would rate a 5 if customer service was better. Very economical.
