I was so excited to find this restaurant in Maui. I was looking for a restaurant that serves bowls, and this one did that and also had 16 flavors of kombucha on tap!! We ate here twice while in Maui, neither one included the bowls. The first was the fish tacos which were good, but the surf club sandwich was so yummy. We chose a Flight of 4 to drink so we could test out some flavors and I decided that the cherry cola was my favorite. Unfortunately, it was not one of the flavors that we could buy bottled there or in one of the local stores. This restaurant is located in a warehouse district and there is no parking except on the street so expect to walk. There are only a few tables, and a bar to sit out so either plan on taking it with you or sit at the bar. We were fortunate that the second time there we got a table. Great service. Good food and great kombucha. We'll be back next time we're in town.

My husband and I got married on a thursday with about 15 guests present. We wanted something casual for dinner so we decided to have our dinner at Castaway's. The views are stunning with a gorgeous view of the ocean. The cafe has a very laid back casual feel. We worked with Elaine in advance to help make this happen and she was outstanding and so very helpful!! Castaway's was very accommodating and made planning a wedding dinner easy! They seated us right where we had a gorgeous view of the ocean and even made us custom menus! We picked out 4 different appetizers (pupus), fish with a mango salsa, and chicken with a pesto cream sauce. The food was excellent. We told our guests to order whatever they wanted off the bar menu and the drinks were good! Service was excellent and accommodating. They even fixed my cake topper for me that broke the day before our wedding! If you are thinking about doing a casual dinner reception for a wedding/elopement, I recommend Castaway's. They were wonderful!!!

I love places like the Sunrise Cafe. Unpretentious and friendly. The food was excellent. The espresso machine was broken the morning we were there and so we went next door to get one and were allowed to return with it for our breakfast at Sunrise. Good neighbor. We joked that the extension in the back looked like something I would have built with its uneven lines of walls and windows but again, food is your concern here, not esthetics. Lonely Planet recommended it to us.

This is a great place to stop to grab a bite to eat or do some shopping. It is a large store with a coffee and lunch bar plus a store with everything needed for your Maui vacation. There are lots of souvenirs, wine, food and everyday items, all at reasonable prices. The staff is helpful and friendly. There are even tables outside to enjoy your snacks or meals. It is located in Kapalua which is a beautiful area.

Get here early! While you can order your food to go, it's best eating inside while it's hot and fresh. The wait can easily get over an hour, so don't arrive too hungry.The mac pancakes with mac sauce are super good! They're huge pancakes and very savory so two will be more than enough for most people.This place is a good example of somewhere that is worth the wait.

The Whalers Village food court location of Choice Health Bar is small and convenient to the Kaanapali resorts and near the beach walkway.... we tried this spot one morning after finishing our two mile walk. Service was quick and taste was very good. We would have no problems trying this spot again.
