After visiting Masaya Volcano, our Granada-based guide, Julio Jaime, took us to Restaurante Carolina. The food was good, but the outstanding part is the atmosphere. The views of the lake are unbelievable! There was live music and friendly staff. A fun experience that I recommend.

You must try the Curvina fish - wonderful! And the fresh vegetables are fabulous! The salad with grilled chicken is a delicious appetizer. Everything prepared FRESH so relax and realize it will be awhile once you order. Youâre on Nica-Time so be patient! The food is worth the wait.Hello Sandy, thank you very much for your kind words! Stopped in here for breakfast. Staff are very friendly and we were seated straight away. We ordered the eggs, bacon, toast and the hamd and cheese omlette, both were cooked well. Prices are a high for what you get which is disappointing. As we have had better breakfasts for the same price at other cafes in the area.

Enjoyed a nice breakfast here. Ordered the breakfast quesadilly and avocado toast. Both meals tasted great and were very filling. We also had the pineapple, passionfruit and banana smoothie which was a bit sour for my liking. The staff are friendly and speak english. You can pay with cash or credit card. Prices for breakfast i think are still a little high.

Of recent, Masaya has opened Kaffe Cafe. A classy place with beautiful ambiance. It is located right in front of central park. Don't confuse it with the other coffee places. This is a restaurant for dining and relaxing. Michael our waiter was courteous, efficient, kind, and friendly. The prices were good. The Beef and chicken were prepared to perfection. The french fries were not great nor was the simple salad. They need to improve upon their side dishes, add more taste and variety. Great selection of desserts, coffees, and a bar, along with clean bathrooms, great tables and beautiful decor..I didn't give it a 5 because I know their Chef can improve upon the food!

Cafe de las Sonrisas was started and is still operated by Tio Antonio. In this cafe, which is only open in the mornings, provides a place where deaf people can learn the skills of waiting on cafe customers and earn a living wage. The menus and environment are specially designed to allow communications between the deaf waiters/waitresses and customers. Tio also teaches blind people the art of weaving high quality hammocks and other salable goods so that they can earn a living as productive members of society. The story of the Cafe and the experience of a visit there is uplifting to the human spirit. We recommend that you stop in for coffee or breakfast to see for yourself.

I've passed by this place several times over the last 8 years when visiting Nicaragua but it was just last week that I stopped in. I had the Caribbean salad and was amazed! It was absolutely delicious!!! In addition to the great salad, the service was excellent as well! Cafe du Parc will definitely be a regular stop for me in the future. I was also surprised that the prices were moderate too.
