I never thought coffee shop going to be like a bar concept. They are really exist in Kota Bharu. Unique, creative and simply cheap. Did not had a chance to try the food, but I love the local coffee here. Hey, who need Starbucks if you could get local coffee in town.

Renaissance's hotel buffet ain't that top notch when it comes to food per se. You'd be better off giving Perdana Hotel's buffet a try and won't come out lingering and desiring for something better - and that's saying something. Palm Terrace's variety are rather limited especially when it comes to the Asian Theme dining on Saturdays and I've recently given it a shot. Could be better if they were to extend their range to outdo their desserts, cakes and ice creams and no one would have said anything otherwise. Quality of food ranges from average to okay and this coming from a five star hotel can be quite a letdown. Most of their local delicacies could be fetched for a price range that is totally out of this world in comparison and still taste as good or way even better than yours. Maybe it is just one theme that you're quite a letdown in, and mayhap your other themes were better. In hopes that you could do much better for the price you're charging, I sincerely hope that you improve in terms of your food variety, taste and customer service. The latter was rather slow when it comes to clearing your plates despite we being the only customer there at 6.15 PM.

To an extent, I have to commend the methods used to spruce up the interior decor and that from the outset, the facade might have just looked like any other ordinary shophouse until you walk in. No doubt, they really know their stuff when it comes to decorating but perhaps these talents could be optimised when it comes to their lavishness in cooking their Western food. I haven't yet really have the opportunity in trying out their other dishes, but suffice to say, I was rather put off after we gave their chicken chop and fish & chips a go. The batter was extremely generous (which is overdone, we aren't here to taste fried flour friend...) and the meat puny and inedible (perhaps this was a one time affair, and a spurious one that is, coz I've been seeing a lot of positive comments about this outlet lately). Sorry to say that yours wasn't a great first impression and I doubt that I would return for another round of dining at your place unless someone can convince me strongly that things have changed. Till then, there are still a great deal of room for improvements.

Ate dinner here twice whilst travelling through Kota Bharu. The organic chicken curry was fantastic and at ~£2.20 great value for money; the chicken fried rice was also exceptional. The staff were very friendly. Recommended
