This restaurant has changed its location from the scenic top of the hill overlooking Kitami to lovely spot inside a city park. The decor remains the same: wood, plants, and pottery. It truly expressed "Hokkaido" and is a favourite with locals for dinner although breakfast and dinner is also served.This restaurant or "cafe" has a very nice bar which serves basic alcoholic drinks as well as their signature coffee. In the evening you will find young couples on a date visiting for coffee and cake or perhaps for a glass of wine with a dish of pasta. The restaurant also serves a full course French style dinner with lobster and steak for 8,000 yen ($100 USD) as well as monthly lunch and dinner specials.Would you like to enjoy a quality meal in a restaurant respected by locals with a long history of service? If yes, I strongly suggest you dine here.Prices are standard for Hokkaido.Wine: Only very basic wine is available here. It is possible to bring your own wine if you call ahead and reserve a a table for a course dinner. Make sure to negotiate this when you call with your reservation.The restaurant can also accommodate private parties in a private room in the attached old house that has been decorated with a local feel.Parking is not an issue. Situated West of Kitami city off of highway 39, this country style cafe offers locals a basic lunch menu and a nice selection of desserts including French classics such as Chocolat Fondant and Crème brûlée. Ice Cream desserts including a good sized Chocolate Sundae is sure to keep children more than happy.The restaurant is only on weekends during summer months. It can be difficult to find so I recommend using a navigation device. If you are looking for a quiet lunch with a fantastic dessert menu I strong suggest visiting this unique cafe. If the weather is pleasant try a table on the patio.
