Every time I've been in recently we seem to be almost invisible,. It was Keith picnic or something and there was only us and two other people in but yet again it took ages to get order in and later we wanted a dessert but just left because nobody came to us. It's a shame, we used to love coming here, and the older staff were much more attentive. But that was when Jane ran the place,things aren't so great now,place doesn't feel as cosy and friendly any more.So sorry to hear that you weren't happy with the service during your recent visits. All staff working on the day in question were originally hired and trained by Jane. I would like to take the opportunity to invite you in to meet us as the new owners and have lunch on the house. It saddens me that your experience was so bad that you had to leave your first and only review on trip advisor as a negative one. We were looking for a quick bite to eat and discovered this gorgeous cafe.It was late in the afternoon so the soup was gone. We chose the afternoon tea and were impressed with the quality and quantity of the food.Sandwiches, scones and cakes were very tasty.

We called in to this cafe after a very long drive. After looking over the varied menu both my partner and I decided on the cooked breakfast which was delicious. My daughter however wasnât hungry and asked only for a drink, the lovely lady had no problem whatsoever with this, and brought her drink with the same polite and smile as she did our food and drinks.The lady serving us was very helpful and friendly, the food was delicious, and the place was very clean.We will definitely be back next time we are in the area.
