Reviews on Cafe food in Keauhou, Hawaii, United States. Some of the best snorkeling spots in Hawaii are near Keauhou, a town on the west coast of Hawaii's Big Island. The local beaches – which tend to be less busy than those on the Kona coast – also offer swimming, boating, fishing and scuba diving. If it's not a beach day, you can head to the Keauhou Garden of the Kamehamas and take a stroll through the native plants or check out the cultural attractions, restaurants and shops of the Kailua-Kona area.

So glad we stopped to check out this place for breakfast! The food is homemade, delicious and authentic. The lilikoi syrup and coconut whipped cream werre delicious. Friendly staff and great 100% Kona coffee. Only problem is that they open at 8:00 and only certain days during the week - if you are an early bird you may be out of luck.
After hiking 4 miles around the Puâuhonua O Honamanau National Historic Park, we wanted lunch nearby. The super-nice lady at the park gift shop suggested this cafe, just up Hwy. 11. Just pull off the road into one of the parking spots. There are about 8 tables, including a couple near the windows and screen door where you get a lovely fresh breeze. Table service or food to go, plus a bakery counter. Also a pool table! Whatever you order for lunch, be sure to get the Citrus Slaw (shredded red cabbage with a special Hawaiian citrus dressing) and the Sweet Purple Potato Salad. You can purchase bags of 100% Kona Coffee from their affiliated coffee farm just up the road. This cafe was just what we needed to relax and recharge before more touring!

Herbert is the name we gave to the lizard . Heâs a cute little dude who will gladly help you finish up your sweet jam. This is a gorgeous place to grab a coffee and some breakfast. Get there early for a good seat. Decent veggie options. Friendly staff. Service is super fast. My only tip: cut back on the cooking oil. Worth a visit..... if just to say hi to Herbert. Seeing Herbert may reminds you that all living beings have a soul... maybe skip the bacon next time

Hey my name is Robin. You can call me Big Rob. Big Rob's is a family owned and operated business bringing home style ono grinds to the South West Big Island! As the sole owner, I have been baking for over 30 years and I take pride and joy in my products.
It ain't pretty or centrally located, but Big Rob's restaurant is worth checking out, not only for the experience of meeting Rob but also because the food is great! As others have mentioned, Rob does pretty much everything himself. We thought he was all disorganized as far as ordering but suddenly Rob had lunch for 4 of us whipped up! We ordered everything from French toast to a fish sandwich and he mastered all of it.We wanted to return on our last day on the island but it was a Monday, and Rob's was closed! The man needs a day off. He expends a lot of energy. You gotta go!

Papa Kona (formerly Daylight Mind Coffee Co.) is a gem! The staff is highly accommodating and serve the most sensational, mouth-watering âpulled porkâ sandwich Iâve ever had. Itâs called the â808 Pork Sandwich. Iâm from North Carolina and was so tickled to see this masterpiece used Carolina sauce! The beach/ocean view is incredible. I just donât know why it is not crowded but quite frankly happy it wasnât. Must be due to itâs locationperimeter of the busy tourist areaa. At any rate, it is truly worth walking past the palace and into the âquieter sideâ. Iâm dreaming of that sandwich!

My husband and I were so surprised to find a French restaurant in Hawaii that we just had to check it out. Turned out to be absolutely delicious and we actually went back the very next morning for breakfast! The lovely Frenchwoman we spoke with (whom I assume was the owner) even remembered us and kindly welcomed us back. I especially enjoyed their croque madame and the Oh Là Là crepe. Please do yourself a favor--take a break from the loco mocos and shave ice and try this place out. C'était vraiment délicieux!

Magics is dynamic, vibrant, and community oriented. Walking into the restaurant is like being transported into the ocean itself, beautiful and invigorating, with a priceless view. Weâre more than just a restaurant, our passion for our island, fresh flavor
This restaurant is located in the building where we rented a condo, so very convenient, especially after a few cocktails. Sits right on the ocean, with views of beautiful sunsets. Menu is varied with something for everyone. We especially liked the spicy lobster noodle dish and had it twice. Also enjoyed steak frite and bbq ahi tuna. Reasonable prices and good service but the food and location are the stars.
