This place is pretty nice! They have a few different species of owls there. You also get to hold them either on your head, shoulder, or your arm. The owl I had climbed up on my shoulder. You can stay for an hour for only 1500 yen. They don't have food though.

I was early for a performance at the Owl Spot Theatre and just needed a place to escape the heat and a lite snack. I think I was too early but Anna and Yuma allowed me in. I sat and had a little appetizer of the most delicious ratatouilleâit was cold with fresh tomato and a slight lemony dressing. It wasn't too salty and it wasn't with overly roasted veg that someone forgot out on the grill. The class of red wine was just the perfect balance of flavors. But, mostly, the lovely personalities of Anna and Yuma need to be commended.

You must try apple pie when you go Hirosaki. Taisho Roman Tea Room (大æ£æµªæ¼«) is located nearby Hirosaki Castle. It has different types of apple pies to choose, just base on the seasons and your preference. You could order a tea set too. What so nice is it offers Aomori apple tea, which you canât really find in other cafe there. I missed the chance to try the unique Apple Curry Rice there, I would like try next time. You may also buy some souvenirs at Taisho Roman. Itâs decoration is kind of like a European style, maybe due to Meiji Restoration?! Nice tea room and apple pie in Hirosaki!!

Go for the coffee. Go for the food - the meals are fantastic. Go for the apple pie, a unique recipe from North America. Go for the cookies. Go for a chat. While youâre there you can visit the Christian book store at the back or explore some of the craft items on display for sale. Itâs a small personable sort of place with a space for the kids, ample parking and have i mentioned the food and coffee!My wife tried a green tea latte and let me tell you, I had serous doubts. Now before you object, just order it, you will not regret it.For a unique experience in Japan, I highly recommend this place.
