Take five minutes of your time to try cannoli, cassate and cassatelle. It is unnecessary to add other considerations....

This trip I'm on a quest to find the perfect Arancini. So today I stopped by Grand Hotel Florio. One thing great, and unusal about this place, is the mini version of Arancini . I've never seen this before. I tried two different kinds - one with ham and peas and one with just a cheese. The flavor was good. Unfortuantely the Arancini lost their crunchy texture when they warm them up in a microwave. I also order a panini. I chose the one with Speck (ham) and cheese. The meat and cheese is cooked inside as the bread is baked. Fantastic!!! I will try this at home.Much to my surprise were the lovely pastries. Everything in the pastry cases were beautiful to the eye..like a work of art! I love the idea of using a cream puff pastry and filling it with the ricotta that is usually in a cannoli. The pastry chef made me a small dessert with the cream puff pastry, a scoop of gelato and his finishing toppings Stunning and DELICIOUS! The Gelato was one the best I've eaten so far on my trip. The presentation was impressive.I'd recommend an afternoon lunch and dessert at Grand Hotel Florio.

This place became our go to spot during our stay. It's easily accessible with a bicycle and bikes. The place is good for an early coffee as well as for cocktails (to die for).I miss relaxing in this spot - it was nice to unwind there, listening to birds, and sipping negroni. The bar is also a stone throw away from a beautiful beach.Recommended!!

Went here a few times on our holiday for aperitivo. The waiters are very friendly and smiley. Drinks are reasonably priced and the local Sicilian Spritz is the drink to have. Aperitonno that are on the house are amazing. Crostini topped with fresh tomato and cured tuna, olives and crisps.Would definitely recommend a visit as the locals are always here.

This cafe does not look very inspring from the road but we are delighted that we went into it. It has a few pavement tables but more in the interior. It is decorated with pictures, musical instruments, books and 'retro music' paraphanalia and plays nice music. The food was good. I took a tuna steak grilled with tomatoes and capers which was pefectly cooked and my husband's panini was fine. Bread and coffee were both excellent. Food was very reasonably priced. Service was friendly and efficient and we would definitely return here.

We went to this bar after reading the good reviews on TripAdvisor and while waiting for a boat to take us back to Sicily. The bar has a good vibe around it and although I never go for a coffee different than a black one, I was convinced to try a pistachio coffee and it really was tasteful.
