The coffee and breakfast here is great. Very popular with locals and tourists. Family run business, each staff member lovelier and friendlier than the next. I love to start my day here.

When I arrived in Isla Canela I was looking for a traditional Spanish restaurant there at 8PM in the evening. It wasn't very easy because many restaurants had still closed. Then I found this cerveceria but I wasnt aware at that time that it is more for beer drinking than for food. There were first a couple of men watching a Spanish football game and a bit later coming a group with retired Spanish couples. First noone was eating and at about 9PM there came some plates with sea food. Since the owner did not speak English and I did not speak Spanish it was quite complicated to get food. But somehow some minutes after 9PM I got food. One plate with Chocos fritos (deep fried sepia strips) and one plate with grilled Gambas. Both dishes tasted good and cost together about 10â¬. All in all, it was a very interesting evening because despite of the fact that they did not speak English the family who owned the restaurant was very friendly and I felt very welcome there :-) So, be aware that it's not a real restaurant because Cerveceria means more "beer pub". But it's one of the evenings I kept very well in mind :) So 4 points!

After a two week family holiday in Isla Canela, this is our favourite place to eat or go for a drink. There's something very special about sitting with your feet in the sand while having a cold drink (â¬2.50 for a good sized glass of wine) and listening to live music. Certainly a special memory to help us through the dark cold winter nights in the north of Europe. We weren't able to get a table in the restaurant part on the night we chose to eat there but were served in the Chill Out area which was perfect. The food is so different from many of the restaurants in the area, it's imaginative and tasty. The prices are very good and the service is so friendly. If you're a fan of beach bars then this is definitely one to visit.
