Reviews on Cafe food in Indian Trail, North Carolina, United States. Indian Trail is a suburban town in Union County, North Carolina, United States. Founded on March 12, 1861, the town holds a history of traders traveling along the "Indian Trail," which ran from Petersburg, Virginia, to the Waxhaw Indians, and gold mining. Indian Trail was first a farming community; however, German and Scot-Irish settlers began to move into the area due to its geographical location. In 1874, the Seaboard Coast Line Railroad was built between the cities Charlotte, North Carolina and Monroe, North Carolina. The railroad, which runs through the town, brought prosperity to the area. Indian Trail was incorporated as a town in 1907, with established city limits based upon a one-half mile radius from the intersection of Indian Trail Road and the Seaboard Railroad. Indian Trail has grown rapidly in the 21st Century: a 2011 CNN article stated that Indian Trail's census count jumped from 1,942 in 1990 to 33,518 in 2010. Every Fourth of July the town holds an annual parade which is one of the biggest parades in the Charlotte metropolitan area.

Reminiscent of cafeteria food, but on a menu. The selections are plentiful and the food is quite good. Homemade soups daily and homemade pies and cakes for dessert. The service is absolutely outstanding. Everyone is so polite and has only service in mind for their patrons. Quiet, clean atmosphere. No obnoxious elevator music blaring overhead while you eat.

We have driven past this place hundreds of times, so we finally stopped for lunch. We were greeted and seated. We placed our order and the food was delivered in a timely fashion. We really enjoyed our lunch. The food and the service was good. We will stop there again.
My husband ordered a pina colada birthday cake for me and it was amazing. Gorgeously decorated and fabulously moist and delicious. The cupcakes there are delicious and come in an array of flavors that vary with the day and season. He has flavors such as pumpkin, vanilla bean, chocolate peanut butter cup, cherry vanilla, cotton candy and orange creme. The owner is a specialty cake designer and artist that moved from Connecticut. He had a cake business there with a large following before moving his family here. He has delightful confections that will put a smile even on the biggest critics.
