Had a very nice lunch here, sat outside in the early spring sunshine! The service was great and the menu was good, but thereâs definitely scope for a bit more choice and innovation to make it even better. Would recommend, and definitely revisit. The gift shop is also a great place to visit, with plenty of lovely products including lots of locally made options.

We were shown a table which still needed a clean. We sat patiently for about 10mts while another couple came in and were attended to straight away. we waited again and I told my brother that I felt we were invisible so made our complaint to the chef who was very apologetic, but we moved to another nearby cafe..Dear ReviewerI was very sorry to learn of your disappointing experience when you visited us. We were very busy over the early May bank holiday period but that is no excuse for a lack of courtesy in attending to the basics such as cleaning your table and taking your order. I acknowledge that mistakes can happen and they clearly did on this occasion. I hope that nevertheless you and your brother managed to enjoy your visit to Hebden Bridge and I apologise again for our discourtesy. With best wishesGill PartridgeWatergate Tea Rooms

Vegan and vegetarian food, influenced by Persian cuisine. Fully licensed, free WiFi, dogs allowed too. Magnificent building, cosy place, well priced and delicious food.
If you are vegetarian, vegan or gluten free than Greens is the place to go! If not, it is not the place for you!!!!!There is loads of choice for "veggies" with lots of variety! The food altogether was... average. But to say that EVERYTHING was homemade/fresh it was great!!! Everything was organic! The cafe is very environmentally considerate!Overall, definitely go for a coffee/tea/hot chocolate etc... or for a family meal....IF A VEGGIE!!!

Chose here for a light bite and a coffee The interior is nice and cosy, the wc was a let down with being dirty but I guess the staff can't check every time it is used. The coffee is good quality, the food however was poorly presented and very basic.Would however like to revisit and try a main meal as there were some nice looking main meal as available The one downside for us was the young short haired waitress that served us was so miserable it nearly turned the milk sour! No customer service or personality!

Licensed café and bistro. Vegetarian Food / Homemade Cake/ Artisan Coffee / Loose-Leaf Tea / Local Ales
Called in today for a brew and a bite to eat. Although not busy on arrival we were told there were reservations booked so they could offer a table but only til 1pm. No problem. the cafe is small but very comfortable. We were seated and staff friendly ( think this was the owner). We ordered from the breakfast menu. I ordered sourdough toast (£1.75) with honey (25p). I was a bit shocked to be served with one average slice of what seemed to be ciabatta. I had expected 2 slices as that is what a breakfast portion would normally be. Disappointed . My friend had a veggie sausage sandwich. No garnish. The coffee was strong and delicious âï¸This is not to say I wouldnât go back to try a lunch ( I would book first). The cafe is hidden away from the main road and parking is available nearby. Hello and thankyou for your feedback. I (the business owner) am currently off on maternity leave but I'm pleased that our staff were friendly. You certainly should have had two slices of toast and I will remind staff of this for future. I am sure it will have been sourdough from local bakery "The Bakehouse" though as ciabatta is not something we keep in the cafe. With regards the sausage sandwich, if you order from the breakfast menu it does not come with a garnish as we found that at breakfast time customers were not eating the side salad/coleslaw and they were going to waste. However the same sandwich does also appear on the lunch menu with these accompaniments. To avoid confusion I will ask my colleagues to check in future whether customers want the 'lunch' or 'breakfast' version of the sandwich.I hope you will visit the cafe again in future. We look forward to welcoming you back.

Called in on spec and just managed to get the last table on a very busy Saturday . I would avoid the main 12-1.30 time if possible. We intended to have pizza as they are gorgeous but changed our mind & went for the daily special , which was aubergines ( not mouska) and a sauce and it was delicious & the garlic bread was yummy. There are tables for sitting out if you have a dog .
