As a group of Scone Tasters we were looking forward to visiting this new café in Hawick. We were not disappointed! The helpful staff were on hand to meet our every need and catered for our ever need with lovely coffees and a selection of fruit teas. The scones (in 4 varieties that day) were freshly baked and delicious. Preserves were on hand too, but unfortunately I missed the Plum Jam :-( The café is a part of charity which focuses on providing support for veterans of the Armed Forces and Blue Light Services with several cafes popping up around the UK with cafes in Gosport, Lancaster, Redcar, Scarborough and now Hawick.Well worth a visit for a lovely welcome and tasty bite with your hot drinks from 9.00am to 5.00pm from Monday to Saturday!

What a lovely wee cafe. I had the full breakfast without haggis (Iâm Scottish, but not a fan). It was nice, great quality butchers sausages and thick bacon. The hot chocolate is made from melted chocolate, not powder. The result is an unctious and luxurious drink best savoured in a smaller quantity.Friendly staff and relaxed environment. Some of the cakes look great.

Cafe bar serving great coffee, homemade cakes and food, local and Scottish ales and gin amongst many other drinks. Chilled atmosphere. Music and open mics are a staple part of Brew life!
Tried for lunch and had pizza and chicken sandwich. Pizza as burnt on bottom making it quite difficult to cut,it was also dry and not very good (£7. )Sandwich did not have much chicken and bread not very fresh. Very average. There are many better places in Hawick for lunch

Had breakfast here whilst staying in the adjacent Guest House. It's clean, but that is all I can say that is good. Really cheap ingredients, not big portions, just really not very good at all. Many better places locally, where you will get local quality ingredients. very disappointing. Wrote to management, no answers. AVOID

Was taken to this wonderful venue yesterday, and oh my goodness what a treat! Love the decor and ambience and happy friendly staff. It is so my kind of place inducing a warm feeling of happiness. Had a shared large plate mezze which was simply divine, and excellent value. Thank you all so much. I shall return as soon as I possibly can.
