Family and dog friendly, home made food, 100% vegan. Small and cosy cafe, warm welcome. Daily specials, great coffee
I really loved the relaxed, informal atmosphere at The Green Kitchen. It was very much like visiting a friend for lunch as you can see exactly where the food is made - nothing is hidden from view. I thoroughly enjoyed the burger and green smoothie (special mention to the coleslaw accompanying the burger - wow!).The only thing that has kept this from 5 stars is that, due to the relaxed vibe, we had to wait a little longer than I'd have expected for a couple of items we ordered. For me, on a Sunday, this was not a big deal however I'm aware that other people may not feel the same so I have tried to review fairly.Thank you for your review, I'm glad you enjoyed your visit and can only apologise for the slow service. Sundays are becoming increasingly busy, I think I need more staff. I hope we see you again, love Heather and the team.

A local favourite with best of Italy in its menu! Come for breakfast/brunch, Lunch and Dinner. Suitable for Vegans and those with food intolerances just speak to us when ordering.
Another happy visit to Carmeloâs. We had absolutely delicious seafood risotto: excellently prepared by the always chatty and bubbly chef Vincenzo. Andrea and Sunna were as professional and friendly as always: made us feel welcome all evening. I highly recommend it!!Thank you for your feedback. It is very much appreciated. We hope to welcome you soon. Carmeloâs Kitchen

Recently attended a networking event and learnt about the works of the Sparks Community Cafe. Itâs a fantastic initiative supporting a night shelter which is run after the cafe closes until it reopens the next day. The food in the cafe was better than expected and the menu has plenty of variety. I had the eggs benedict. The cafe is set up on a âpay what you like basisâ with some recommenced donations. I paid £10 which is said to feed and provide shelter for someone for the evening. If youâre looking for something different this is recommended. Thank you tomtom0592,Thanks for your wonderful review and for letting people know what Sparks Community Cafe is all about. We rely on the generousity of people, like you, coming to Sparks, enjoying the food and the experience and then giving to charity when you "Pay What You Can" We look forward to seeing you again real soon.

Looking for a hearty brunch, quick bite to eat or a steaming cup of coffee? The George Street Canteen has all you need. Tucked away in the heart of St Albans City centre this family run cafe serves wonderfully comforting home made food speciality coffee a
The Canteen does not have a large indoor seating area, but the outside is beautiful and overlooks the St Albans Cathedral. The food is fresh, healthy, and very well prepared with the brunch items a particular favourite. The hidden nature of George Street means that you are a 5 min walk to the heart of St Albans and the marketplace, but tucked away in a quiet garden. The service is always lovely and this is one of the place I love to take visitors to St A. My only disappointment is that it not open for dinner.

However, had to restrain myself from indulging in the very tasty-looking display of cakes and pastries. Can't comment on the menu as such as it didn't apply during my visit.Great garden centre too with fresh produce, quirky gift section, excellent greeting cards selection and even some nice ladies clothing to browse.Good EveningThank you for your comments, we always appreciate feedback. Wide ranging menu. Cafe in daytime - more of a restaurant at night. Particularly good for vegetarian food - many choices.
Really friendly staff, good service, excellent food at a reasonable price. Had a lite lunch of omelette and chips that was well presented with salad and coleslaw. Would recommend and will visit again
