What a find! The Vestry Café is in Christchurch in Church Square along with an interesting art gallery. Food is excellent (home made scones, afternoon teas, daily specials) and very reasonably priced. Wonderful friendly service, nothing is too much trouble for the staff. The Vestry has a wonderful ambience and feels very special. Just the place to relax and enjoy the unique and welcoming atmosphere. The café is an official Fair Trade cade and is open from 10am to 4pm, and specialises in afternoon teas and light lunches. What are you waiting for?

It's A Deli, Fast Food Take Away Licensed Cafe
Had a panini and it was pretty bland really. Very disappointed with the chips. Been twice now and they are over cooked, soggy wedges. They were suppose to have a âpizzaâ topping but someone used tinned tomatoes and put the juice on the chips too, so they were cold and soggy too. Very busy serving takeaway customers so service for us was very slow.

Went in this afternoon with my husband and 4 year old daughter. My little girl isnât really into ice cream and prefers an ice lolly, itâs not on their menu so we were directed to their side window where you could get ice cream etc to take out. My husband and I intended to get ice cream/coffees and wanted to sit in, so we asked if we could get an ice lolly from the side window and let our little girl eat it inside so we could order coffees/deserts inside too. We were told no, we canât bring food in from the take out side of the parlour, despite it being purchased from the same place, just the take out side. Managers rules is what we were told when we questioned it. Absolute madness, they had empty tables, customers who wanted to sit in and buy deserts and drinks, aside from one ice lolly but turned us away. We went elsewhere and were accommodated as we should have been here. Hi thanks for your review, Iâm sure you can appreciate we chose to offer different products inside the parlour to outside and The prices reflect this, table service nice facilities and air con and no long waiting in a que, we do however offer for non ice cream eaters sorbets and slush which we make on the premises ,should customers require a different menu and price range we have a take away window and outside seating were we serve a range teas ,coffees ,cold drinks ,ice creams and lollies plus scones sundaes Kind regards gelato JoJo

Back again today after visiting navy museum and as always, the Fish and Chips were delicious. 4 adults and one grandchild five meals and drinks for less than a tenner each.Beautifully cooked fish, tea, coffee, soft drinks and great value.Keep it up glasses, you're doing a great service.

Hiding behind a rather simple shop front is this gastronomic delight.... Ive ate in some very expensive restaurants and this would put some of them to shame. Its not pricey, the food has never failed me, the service is second to none. All in all its a hidden gem.Go there and experience it..Michael Buttery

This is a review of a number of visits over a number of months which were all delicious! We've been for breakfast which was great, particularly the eggs florentine and lunch a number of times. Lunch highlights are the vegi burgers which are also delicious

We ate here prior to going to an evening performance at the Northern College of Art. The restaurant is in the centre of town, just a couple of doors down from the college, overlooking a pedestrianised area. We booked in advance and were given a lovely window table. The decor is fabulous - colourful, quirky with an amazing spiral staircase. The staff were so friendly. We had the 2 course evening special -£20 which included a complimentary drink. I had the gin recommended by our waitress (Monkey 47 - really good). We shared an antipasto. I had the chilli - made from well cooked beef rather than minced meat - delicious!!! - accompanied by chunky chips. Unfortunately I was so full I couldnât finish the chips. My husband had the chicken which he also enjoyed. We shared a desert. Will definitely go again.

Four of us went for breakfast here on a Monday morning. We had eggs Benedict, eggs royale and 2 small breakfasts. Great value on the cooked breakfasts as your hot drink is included in the price. Place is interesting and quirky with a war-time theme. My only small criticism would be that the hollandaise sauce on the egg dishes was bland and the balsamic reduction overpowered everything else. Would still go again.
