Grounded Cafe is a vibrant place with a peaceful and warm feel to it. We strive to provide good food and beverages for money worth paid for. We have a trained barista who prepare all coffee related drinks and has a great passion to supply excellent coffee
Beautiful coffee stop with a lovely sandwich and brownie.. we left the Drakensberg before sunrise aiming to accomplish a visit to home affairs for passports and new IDs.. after a 2 hour visit to the home affairs coffee was calling. I googled the top 5 spots for coffee and Grounded was in those top 5. Grounded is situated in a church building opposite a private college 5 minutes away from the home affairs. Quite suburban pleasure. To wrap it up.. moresome brownies.2 coffees later and a super fresh sandwich we were ready to leave for our journey back home. To wrap it up... life is too short for bad coffee.. visit grounded for a super cup.

If you want something different and if you want it fresh visit this non-chain-restaurant. Attentive service, great value for money and good old country atmosphere lies between the mountains. Try the salmon salad or sandwich for a burst of taste and flavor. Definitely the better choice for a lunch break between chain restaurants that mass produce. Enjoy!
Skylight lodge has a upper class homey feeling, with a cafe, restaurant and cocktail lounge that is open to the public. We serve from breakfast to sushi. With our own maluti sushi(beef). We also have a wide selection of steaks available and other dishes.
The feel of the restaurant is very nice and cozy. Overlooking a pool with some firelight allowing you to relax. The cocktails we ordered was very sweet and had not tasted anything like what we expected. The staff... Not sure if he was the owner but he was very friendly and assured us they were trying to get more people to visit and trying to have pizza evenings and sushi evenings etc. I ordered a sole with Thermador sauce. Was very disappointed as the sole was burnt (pitch black) on the bottom side but the Thermador sauce was delish. I ended up only having the top piece with the sauce. My husband had a eisbein and also complained it was not tender or crispy at all like he normally gets when he orders elsewhere. I really hope they have jacked up their quality of food and cocktails otherwise they won't see me again. It's a pity as there aren't a lot of competition in town and it would have been nice to atleast have one decent place to dine or lunch. They are still new and trust these are just teething problems
