This has been a longtime favorite local Starbucks branch in our family. The service is friendly and the staff seem to remember what their customers like. The only drawback is that the tables outside are surprisingly not non-smoking, unlike within the shop.

These little resturants operated by the Muji Stores located in many train station department stores in the Tokyo area are a very good place to get a quick and relatively inexpensive lunch.They serve cafeteria style and you are allowed two small hot and two small cold items plus a roll or a bowl of rice for under $9.00. Select the rice if you are hungry as the roll is cold and not very filling. They also have decent coffee for Yen 350 and desserts, the custard "purin" is not half bad, again small by American standards, but who can't afford to drop a pound or two?Very litle English is spoken by the staff, but the food to be served is visible in a show case and pointing works very well as the kids are friendly are willing to help.In a city where the price of everything will generally blow your mind it is nice to find a reasonably priced lunch.As a hint reserve a seat before ordering lunch by placing an item on the table or chair or you may find yourself with a tray of food and no place to place it.

We passes this dessert stand while hiking down the mountain. We bought two and loved it!!! It's got like cream cheese filling inside. I would say this dessert made my Japanese food top 3 list. I would definitely go back for it next time I am around the area. They also sell ice cream.
